I just emailed him at work saying I need to buy a couple more kits.........lol (all from Kate hadfield), to scrap a page for the list challange, I said it will be good scrap as it will be about the house modifications and extension we are having done in about 3 months time.........so sits around and waits now for an email back to see if I can get them......or do I just grab them and tell him later I just had to buy them like......NOW..........lol

LOL Chris and I don't discuss small purchases like that....I know he buys things that drive me nuts, and my scrap kit purchases (usually) drive him nuts, so we just agree to let eachother do as we please! As long as the bills are paid we are good. Since you asked him tho, I'd probably wait!!

Ha ha! Well, my hubby and I from the first set our budget up so that we get a monthly "allowance". That way we can spend our money on whatever we want to without having to ask for permission, but also when it's gone, you know you can't come asking for more. It's saved us from so many money fights! :)

Hopefully he'll email back fast and say you can shop! :)

Just saying, if one of them is Do it Yourself!??

You just need to get it! I have used it forever, heck you can stick a hammer or tape measure on about every page!?! :whistle

Unless you two have a rule that you have to agree on each and every purchase you both make, then I say go for it! :)
I'm not trying to advertise for the company lol, but I do online surveys and have the money put directly into PayPal. That way I can buy things without DH complaining. That's how I got the awesome new collab You're Mean today! (DD called me "mean" for the first time a few weeks ago, and my first thought wasn't "Oh, gotta nip that in the bud!" but was actually "Oh, I've gotta scrap this!" LOL!)
And if I don't have the money in PP when I shop and DH complains, I just tell him that I'll take a survey and that'll cover it. DH buys lunch at work even though he promises he won't (to save money/eat healthier), so if he really complains about my $5 purchase, I just innocently ask him "And how was lunch today?" That usually shuts him up. :evillaugh

I usually let hubby know I'm scrap shopping but I don't ask him if I can - sometimes I'll ask how much I can spend - as in "I'm doing some scrap shopping what can we stretch to?" I'm telling him its going to happen! but seeing if his budget is higher than mine LOL sometimes I think oh I'll spend £10/15 and he'll say how about £20 BONUS! LOL

He like a few beers at the weekend and a bet on the horses or greyhounds, I like to scrap!

He does the same to me now I think about it " I think I'll have a bet, fancy transferring some money for me" hardly ever says how much waits for me to do it, so he probably ends up with more than what he wanted too LOL

LOL @ Carly! I do the same as Vicky - I say I'm getting some supplies how high can I go hehe. He normally moans and complains for a bit (all show) and then tells me a figure that is 99% of the time higher than I'm after .... works every time! We pool all our money though so if I didn't mention it he would later LOL

I have no hubby to question my scrap purchases, so I'm all good. I'm in no way advocating divorce though, just sayin'. :giggle I do agree with Kelley though that since you did ask him, I'd probably wait. Has he emailed you back yet?

got them, just been a little ill with a really bad migraine, but hoping to get my page finished very soon.

Oh, I have only just seen this! I'm glad you got your kits Donna but not glad about the nasty migraine, hope you feel better soon lovey! (Btw you could always use the old currency conversion trick on your hubby - "It's £10 - no wait, the price is in dollars so actually it's ONLY £6! Bargain!" Works every time ;) )

lol, yes thats what I told him is actually less than it is cos its dollars......lol, just about to post my page dead chuffed with how it turned out

Your page is awesome Donna! worth every penny!

Hope your migraine has eased xx
