If you haven't already seen Polly Anne is giving away treats in the Avatar game in the Halloween Bash part of the forum. ETA: virtual treats!
Are you a candy person (or lollies as we call them here)? What do you stock up on for the coming weekend if you celebrate Halloween?

Anne gave me chocolate Freddo Frogs - couldnt have been more spot on for me, as they are one of our go to treats around here. Some of the weird and wacky (food colouring) candy puts me off (I'll eat jelly snakes or red raspberries but that's about it) and I kinda dont like giving it to the kids either but they'd take a punnet of fresh strawberries over candy most days and they seem to ditch those things first from party bags they get from other kids birthdays. We don't celebrate Halloween so the cupboard is pretty bare here atm.

I like some candy, and I definitely have a sweet tooth, but the amount of candy associated with Halloween (and other holidays like Christmas, Easter, Valentine's etc) is obscene to me. I can only have a mini/fun size chocolate candy and then I'm done. Non chocolate candy I'll eat a little more, but nothing too sour.

My poor husband put together a Christmas stocking for me full of chocolate, candy canes and other candies. I ate a few things and gave him the rest. I'd rather have baked goods like brownies, cake or cookies.

We like chocolate and sour candies. My husband decided not to hand out candy this year; so we're not buying any. At all. I will probably buy something on November 1 when it's half price. ;)

I admit that I love dark chocolate and some fruit/gummy candy. My kids don't eat candy often so I hide mine. :)

I have a gummy addiction, like the more plastic-y the better. I just really like chewy candies like caramels and taffy. The kids like gummies too. Hubby's favorite is peachy rings, 8yo likes gummy sharks, 6yo likes M&Ms, the plain kind.

Buying Halloween candy is on my to do list today. I usually buy chocolate, but mostly I buy whatever I can get the most off that's a good brand. Hhhmmm.... now I considering taking the plunge to be one of the full sized candy bar houses. I just looked at Amazon and I can get a box of 30 bars for about what I pay for the multiple bags of mini sized ones. I would be way more likely to leave those alone before Halloween (the mini ones are way to easy to snack on "just one"). I honestly don't think we'll get 30 trick-or-treaters either.

I like chocolate, but I really like gummies as well... cinnamon bears are a favorite. I like licorice too. I like to go to the bulk candy store every once in a long time to get a little bag of my favorites.

My kids don't eat a lot of candy but LOVE anything sour.

I'm not a big sweets eater. I enjoy a candy bar once in awhile - Milky Ways and Mounds are my favorite, but I'm more likely to eat sour candy. I do like caramels, too. Werther's has a green apple caramel candy that is really good!!

So we bought the big mini chocolate candies with peanut m&ms, twix, snickers, etc. and we broke open the bag about a week ago. It is about a quarter gone. Hopefully at least half of it will be there by Halloween. We get 20 to 30 kids for trick-or-treating.

Chocolate is best, but my daughter is also a lover of sour candies, Skittles, and Starburst. I like Smarties, not the UK Smarties which are like our M&Ms, but more like Sweetarts.

We don't hand out candy at our house as we are always gone trick-or-treating so I don't buy Halloween candy at all.

Getting to snack out of the kids' stash is usually good enough. :) This year, they have Zoo Boo, trunk or treat at my daughter's school, & regular Halloween so they will have plenty to share!

I'm the same way Jess! I wonder if I had a pacifier for a long time cause I love mushrooms too. A friend said she hated that rubbery texture and I love it.
