Someone on the chat last night said she was under tornado watch last night and lives in the Northwest Arkansas/Southern Missouri/Oklahoma area. I know Branson and Ozark area was hit and am wondering how she fared. Sorry, I can't remember for sure who it was to ask her directly. Does anyone who was on the chat know? Thanks.

Hm... unfortunately I missed chat, but I know Melanie (melrio) is in Arkansas, is that who you mean? I know bad weather always hits her before me and I'm on tornado watch/warning all day.

Nope, wasn't us this time. We had a watch but I think Kat lives up in the Fayetteville area.

It was probably Kat...I know she lives in NW Ark...Mel is closer to central Arkansas. Hopefully everything is ok there. Tornadoes scare the living daylights out of me.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Kat too. There were some nasty ones last night and early this morning! Hope she's safe!

I hope you girls out that way are staying safe!!

I was just coming in to post a thread to tell ya'll how it went last night. Thanks for thinking of me, that's why I looove it here, you guys are too sweet!

I went to bed, lol... I waited as long as I could for the storm to roll in but when midnight-thirty hit, I was out like a light. Most of the time, I can sleep through a storm or if I do wake up, it's because it's a lot of thunder or my scared-y cat cocker spaniel jumps on me. lol.

This storm woke me up like I was startled awake. The wind had been powerful all evening but we had 60 mph gusts and when I heard what I thought could be HUGE hail, I got up. It was about 1:30 I think. I looked out and didn't see hail so I am guessing it was either smaller than it sounded or the wind was blowing something. It mostly was just a heavy thunderstorm, lots of lightning and thunder.

I watched the news for about 10 minutes and they said we had rotation over us, not sure where exactly but they said over Fayetteville. By the time the actual warning came out, they said it had moved far enough east to a town called Goshen which is a little east of us.

We are fairly lucky to be in Fayetteville, we are surrounded by mountains so we've actually never had a tornado inside the city limits... it's usually about 20 minutes away from us that something will form/touchdown. But I'll tell you, it was a rough night. I saw that there was a tornado in Branson which is 2 or 3 hours north of us and that was the same storm line we had.

Thanks for checking in Kat! Glad that y'all are safe & sound. Looks like Friday may be our next weather maker!

Glad you're OK, Kat-- what a scary night.

Now, I have to compliment you on your use of the term "midnight thirty." I will be using that frequently from now on. :)

LOL!!!! I say noon-thirty too... doesn't everyone say that? ha ha!

Thanks for posting, Kat. I remembered talking with you last night but am still trying to learn everyone's names etc. I'm glad you are okay. How did your parents fare?

I'm terrible at names myself...

My parents barely had any weather at all... I thought that was crazy... usually they get the worst of it.

Glad you are ok Kat - thanks for letting us know! My brother lives in Fayetteville.. guess I should call him....
