I was just coming in to post a thread to tell ya'll how it went last night. Thanks for thinking of me, that's why I looove it here, you guys are too sweet!
I went to bed, lol... I waited as long as I could for the storm to roll in but when midnight-thirty hit, I was out like a light. Most of the time, I can sleep through a storm or if I do wake up, it's because it's a lot of thunder or my scared-y cat cocker spaniel jumps on me. lol.
This storm woke me up like I was startled awake. The wind had been powerful all evening but we had 60 mph gusts and when I heard what I thought could be HUGE hail, I got up. It was about 1:30 I think. I looked out and didn't see hail so I am guessing it was either smaller than it sounded or the wind was blowing something. It mostly was just a heavy thunderstorm, lots of lightning and thunder.
I watched the news for about 10 minutes and they said we had rotation over us, not sure where exactly but they said over Fayetteville. By the time the actual warning came out, they said it had moved far enough east to a town called Goshen which is a little east of us.
We are fairly lucky to be in Fayetteville, we are surrounded by mountains so we've actually never had a tornado inside the city limits... it's usually about 20 minutes away from us that something will form/touchdown. But I'll tell you, it was a rough night. I saw that there was a tornado in Branson which is 2 or 3 hours north of us and that was the same storm line we had.
