How much does your tooth fairy pay per tooth? My son lost his first tooth this week & we had to text our friends to find out what to pay! :giggle

The first tooth got more than the next ones (the Tooth Fairy makes a bigger deal about the first one apparently). That was $2. The rest are $1. My oldest son informed me that the Tooth Fairy doesn't pay very well at our house compared to his friends though!:giggle

For the first tooth we gave our daughters 2 one dollar coins with some other little gifts...the $1 coins were a hit and were kind of special. Now they get $1 per tooth :-)

When our kids believed in the Tooth Fairy, they would get $5 a tooth. :yup A lot I know, but we enjoyed it. And so did they! :lol

The Tooth Fairy brings a small pack of Pokemon cards to this house. My youngest has informed me that he hopes the Tooth Fairy brings cash instead for him, but he hasn't lost a tooth yet.

There are too many kids at their school who get $20 from the tooth fairy. And then my kids are wondering some kids get so much more than they do.

We pay $5 too.

I saw this on Pinterest. Such a cute tooth fairy idea.

Ava got $5 for the first tooth. I wanted to give her her first "paper money" and in Canada that is our smallest bill. She has gotten $2 after that.

OMG! $20 a tooth?!?!?! Whew....my kids would've fainted and pulled all their teeth out for that much per tooth! LOL

We did $1 a tooth!

We gave $5 for the first tooth based on a quick poll of some of my friends. My son was so excited that within two days he had literally pried the other tooth that was barely lose out with a pencil!!! I about died when I saw that. He bled all over the front of his shirt and didn't care one bit because he was getting another $5 bill! I told him right then and there that the tooth fairy only pays like that for the first two teeth. Now it's $2. And thankfully he's back to letting the teeth fall out on their own time. Good grief. :)

OMG Karen! I would have passed out if my son did that! LOL

We did $5 first tooth and are doing random amounts for the other teeth - between $1.25 and $2. Part of that was because his second tooth fell out when they were working on money at school and he had no desire to count various coins...the tooth fairy random coin thing certainly changed his perspective on that.

Zac has 4 capped teeth... he had poor enamel on the original baby teeth that came in. So when he lost his first "silver" tooth last week we did $2.50 - telling him that the tooth fairy must have paid extra for the silver. I also had some tiny tiny silver flowers from a making memories embellie box long ago and popped a couple in there. He thinks she made the flowers from the silver. Soooo cute!

I might be the worst mom ever, but I just pay my kids $1 to throw their teeth straight into the garbage. Free-roaming teeth just gross me out. Plus, that way I don't have to worry about forgetting to do the tooth fairy thing. I've forgotten a few times in the past. And had to do some fancy work to get out of it without crushing my poor kids. :giggle

We gave Ella $2 for her first tooth with the plan of $1 for each additional. However, she just confronted me this week about Santa, EB, and tooth fairy and we had a nice chat. After I explained mom and dad did most of the stuff she said, "well can I have my tooth back!"

Oh wow! How did she handle it Rachel? I'm thinking Cody is ready to hear the truth. He's too darn smart and I'm so lazy about keeping up with the story... I'm getting sloppy and leaving too many clues!

After reading this, I think the tooth fairy is cheaping out on my kids! She only brings $1, usually in coins. My SIL saves all her kids teeth... which kind of grosses me out. Ours go right in the garbage.

our tooth fairy was bloody useless she forgot on a couple of occasions to come and on another occasion she put th emoney under the pillow and left the tooth too lmao

I used to put £2 per tooth
