Tooth Fairy Question

When the tooth fairy comes to your house, does she take the tooth or leave it behind? Ours has been taking the teeth, but then some of my oldest's friends still have all of their teeth as keepsakes. My boy can't understand why the tooth fairy took all of his.
 
i took it... but then ce fo und them.. so he took them back hahaha (he's just lost 2.. I don't intend on keeping them all :p )
 
I take them...I put them in their baby boxes, so that I can remember who's is who's. My little one should start loosing some here really soon. We've always told them that the tooth fairy takes them and gives them to babies...sounds a little gross if you think about it :lol but it's cute too :)
 
My mom kept all of ours. I am probably going to keep the girls' when they start losing them, but put them in their baby box.
 
we take them and bin them but ......................... my little one who will be 7 next month said to me his tooth is wobbling how much am YOU gonna give me i said i dont give you the tooth fairy does and he gave me this funny look with his hand on his hips and said mom i dont believe in little things with wings on there back!
 
ha ha karen, well mine still believes, or at least he pretends to! He lost his eighth tooth today, and DH usually does the exchange at night. I have no idea where the seven other teeth he lost are!
 
My eldest has her first wobbly tooth right now (look out for the layout soon, lol!) and I wasn't going to keep them. Unfortunately, another little girl in her class has a 'tooth box' to put them in, plus money from the fairy. Not sure what the tooth fairy is getting out of this! Anyway, the precedent has been set. Still think it's a bit yucky to be honest...
 
Ella lost her first tooth last month. :) I had no idea what to do, and it was a long night at our house of DH and I coming up with a payment system, certificate, all that. :D

Anyway, we kept it I think. I'm pretty sure anyway.

Hmmm, now I'm wondering. If we kept it, where is that little sucker???
 
I have all 6 of Moo's teeth (that she has lost) in an itty bitty ornate box that a friend gave me near on 20 years ago... never knew what to do with it till now! We have a cute little tooth box that the tooth fairy collects from.

i take 'em but need to get a fun little tooth box like that... will give them back someday.
 
Did any of your mom's keep your teeth and give them to you? And what exactly do you do with them? String 'em on a necklace? :lol
 
well, first of let me just say that I suck at being the tooth fairy. I am so surprised that my kids still believe as surely no fairy would make as many mistakes as I have! lol

I think on some TV show when my girls were little it said that the tooth fairy takes the teeth and puts them in the sky to make new stars so that's what my girls believe. I keep all their teeth, though I have no idea where they all are! I just stick them in an envelope with their names and the date. Though there are a couple floating around from this year as I ran out of envelopes! lol
Oh and I give $2 per tooth. Unless the tooth fairy was REALLY busy and had to come the next day...then she gives extra for her tardiness.
