Happy National Kite Flying Day!

Here’s a fast five for you.
1. Have you ever flown a kite?
2. Have you ever made a kite?
3. Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of kites?
4. What’s the coolest kite trick you’ve ever done or seen?

2. Have you ever made a kite? yes
3. Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of kites? my dad

5. Is it windy where you are today? yes, very wet and bit windy

I think of my mom when I think of kites because she’s always loved flying them. :)

1. Have you ever flown a kite? Yes, as a child with my brother
2. Have you ever made a kite? I think I helped my brother in making one.
3. Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of kites? My brother
4. What’s the coolest kite trick you’ve ever done or seen? None that I know of
5. Is it windy where you are today? Some wind and light rain... rained heavily in the night but I slept through it and did not know until I woke up this morning.

3. Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of kites? Multiple people in the family because we always are in a group family gathering when we would try to fly kites!
4. What’s the coolest kite trick you’ve ever done or seen? I've never seen any or done any.
5. Is it windy where you are today? No, not windy today. Very nice temps today though, but I hear not for long.

2. Have you ever made a kite? I think so . . . I'm quite sure . . . but I can't remember the specifics
3. Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of kites? Mary Poppins: "Let's go fly a kite! Up to the highest heights!" My kids performed in their homeschool theater group's Mary Poppins many years ago and I can still remember that very well!
4. What’s the coolest kite trick you’ve ever done or seen? :think
5. Is it windy where you are today? Today was rather calm, but we had some windy days recently, and they were cold winds!

not much to say about kites, but wanted to add this, bc this is what I think of when someone says kite

That’s fun your kids performed in Mary Poppins. I think my mom loves kites because she loves Mary Poppins.

It’s been a few years for me too! I usually let my kids do the flying instead of me.
 
1. Have you ever flown a kite? Yes! I loved to as a kid!

2. Have you ever made a kite? Yes! We used to make them all the time, but they never worked very well. Lol!

3. Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of kites? Not really

4. What’s the coolest kite trick you’ve ever done or seen? Tricks? I don't know. But I live right by Lake Michigan (people who haven't see it and see it for the first time always say it looks like the ocean since you can't see across it) Anyway, we have kite surfers on Lake Michigan on super windy days and they are amazing!

5. Is it windy where you are today? Not today, but it has been for the last few days. Warm weather, then back to cold makes for some crazy winds!

4. What’s the coolest kite trick you’ve ever done or seen? Not over sure of this one
5. Is it windy where you are today? Not at the moment, give it another few hours.

We have kite surfers on the lake by us too! I think that would be cool to try.

That's fun kites make you think of your second son. Your wind situation sounds like ours; it always gets windy eventually. ;)
