I just wanted to take a second to ask for thoughts and prayers for the people here in West Virginia. 44 out of 55 counties are under a state of emergency due to devastating flooding. Last I heard, 20 people have died including a toddler and an 8 year old, and so many have lost their homes. There are still many stranded, as well. It's so sad. The worst of the flooding happened an hour or 2 north of where I am. Here are a couple of links with photos:

Thanks in advance for all your thoughts and prayers.

Wow that's mindboggling to have so much flooding. I'll be praying

Thanks, Carilyne! They had about 10" of rain yesterday and the area that was hit hardest is in a valley, so they not only got all that rain, but then the runoff from the mountains :(

In our prayers. I'm heartbroken by all the extreme things happening all over the world, extreme weather disasters and extreme human disasters, all over.... :(

oh my goodness ... i have not been paying much attention to the news lately ... that is just awful. definitely thinking of you all in WV ... such a beautiful state and so much devastation.

flooding has got to be one of the absolute worst disasters in my opinion. Praying the rain stops and no more lose their lives.

Oh my goodness, by all means thinking of you all in WV. Wouldn't it be a little late in the season for flooding too? It's never where you need it either, KS could definitely stand to take some of that off your hands. Terribly hot and dry here, like a tinderbox.

Thanks, everyone. The more photos that come out, the more heartbreaking it is. The death toll is up to 26 now :( I'm just sitting here looking for any way I can to help.
