The Time Traveler's Wife

I saw the movie and then tried to read the book. I really struggled with it. I think it is the one book I actually quit reading about 3/4 of the way through and gave up. lol

i've not read it yet. nor have i seen the movie. i always meant to just never got around to it.

oh yes! i really liked it! in fact, i should re-read it :) the only thing that confused my MIL in it was the dates, she never looked at the date at the beginning of each chapter so she didn't really get it ..

Not yet. I have it there waiting for me but I got sucked into the Song of Ice and Fire.

I did, and I really liked it. My favorite thing about it was that it was unique! When I started reading it I was confused. I have this things about not reading the back cover of a book so I don't get any spoilers, but obviously the title tells you a little about what the plot is. Anyway, once I started reading I just loved it. I do think this would be another one that would be hard to read on an e-reader, because of the dates on each chapter and sometimes I would flip back to get my reference on where (when) this part was.

I also watched the movie after I read the book (twice) and liked it too, but I was glad I read the book first for sure.

Just re-watched the movie last night and boy, did I miss alot the first go-around. Didn't get a chance to read the book as a couple of friends told me they had a hard time keeping up with the dates.

I read this for a reading group a few months ago after having TRIED to read it years ago. Hated it back then... LOVED it this time. Don't know why. I rented the movie but couldn't get into it.

I've read it a couple of times ...but it's been a couple of years ago that I read it last. Haven't seen the movie...not sure if I will.

i read it quite a few years back and didn't enjoy it~ i was really intrigued by the whole idea and concept, but some of the minor details really bothered me!

i've never seen the movie either.
