I'm super inspired, and I would like to bake some cupcakes for New Years dinner. I like to bake, but I'm not a baking expert, so I've been searching for an easy cupcakes' recipe, an easy one with flavors variation.
1. What is your favorite cupcake flavor?
2. Are cupcakes better with oil, margarine or butter?
3. Do you have a good recipe to share?

We love to make cupcakes here, since my girls were little and now they are teenagers, they still make them but on there own (and I can clean up the kitchen )

3. Do you have a good recipe to share? Just the basic recipe, but if we want to have fun we use some baking-colors and make a rainbow cupcake.

I like to make cupcakes, and have found lots of luck with recipes from the Sally's Baking Addiction blog. I have tried the vanilla, chocolate and yellow (butter flavored) cupcake recipes so far. I intend to try the mimosa cupcakes the next time I need to make some.

My daughter is the cupcake baker at our house!
1) favorite - anything my daughter makes - must be the added love. Not a fan of red velvet (I can taste the red dye).
2) unsalted butter for the win -- and frosting made from butter too!
3) try using your favorite muffin recipe as cupcakes - muffins are just unfrosted cupcakes after all.

I honestly don't think I've met a cupcake I didn't like. I might choose a double chocolate with chocolate icing last though.... too much chocolate, lol!

I don't really know... but I've always used Butter.

I go to a couple bakeries and buy them, lol! That's the recipe and key ingredient!

You do not want any baking advice from me. I use a box mix and bake according to the directions. I think my favorite kind of cupcakes is yellow cake mix with chocolate frosting. Or a close second is white cake mix with white frosting. Yummy!

LOVE chocolate too! actually my favorite cake is the triple layer chocolate. Chocolate never is too much, lol!
That was a super easy recipe to follow, lol

I love vanilla with chocolate frosting, and the white cake mix super delicious, I'm drooling, lol

I love red velvet cupcakes or lemon ones with cream cheese frosting. Or white chocolate ones with raspberry filling...or salted carnel ones with chocolate drizzle. Or... lol..basically any cupcake ..
And butter makes good cupcakes

And I'll look through my cupcakes recipes and come back for you I'm sure I got a few

I think my personal favorite cupcake is cherry chip. It was always my request for birthday cake growing up. Now I’m not sure whether it’s the actual cake or the nostalgia I love more. Here’s a recipe for it:

I also do like the idea of making a good muffin and putting some frosting on top. If I were taking that approach, I know exactly what I would make… Plant based on a Budget has a great chocolate chip muffin recipe. It’s so yummy. Her recipe calls for oil, although I usually swap bananas for the oil. Delicious! Those muffins with some chocolate buttercream would make a darn good cupcake IMO
