Apparently, the last 100 days of 2016 starts on 9/23/16. :circlesDon't shoot the messenger. I read it on one of my favorite blogs. (https://daringtolivefully.com/100-days-left-of-the-year) (She also has a cool calendar that you can print out for tracking goals on the last 100 days.)

What goals have you reached this year? What things are left for you to accomplish in the last 100 days? What things do you have coming up? How will you make the most of the remaining days of 2016?

:cheer :banana:dancebun

Survival, the last 22 days have done me in. I pick myself up and then get knocked down. I'm afraid to set goals. Maybe I'll just to the army crawl for a while.
But seriously I'll give it some thought as I have been trying to set up some goals.

This makes me want to take a nap.... :hammock Altogether too much ambition imho!! :giggle

Me too. But everything makes me want to take a nap. LOL.

I can totally relate. I thought once school started, things would calm down, but that was just a one-day fantasy. :giggle The reality of my grandma's accident (and subsequent taking care of her) has me racing around like a chicken with my head cut off. I keep telling myself 'next week will be more calm.' But it hasn't happened yet. I'm not giving up hope for next week though. :D

To get our backyard into shape. It's been a pile of dirt and weeds for too long. We've plans to get it fixed up, but things like me spraining my foot (multiple times) and the summer's heat kept me from working on it. But I did get in my butterfly and bee friendly garden a couple of weeks ago in an area that was my "hilly weed garden" outside my back fence. It looks so good! Now to finish the back yard itself. We're putting in a square foot vegetable garden, laying brick paths, clean and repair and seal the deck, and a gadzillion other little things. Thankfully we have a small backyard! I'll post photos once it's all done!

I have kept up with scrapping a double pager each week and a calendar page each month. I didn't really set any other personal goals....just keeping up with schooling, daily laundry and 3 meals a day are enough goals for me! Oh, I guess I did run a 1/2 marathon that I trained for & I made a PR, so that was definitely a goal accomplished.

The rest of the year is focused on bringing our 2 kids home from China and bonding with them!

Hopefully we have a bit of a break coming up! We might get about a month's break from sports. We started in January with basketball, went right in to baseball, and then right in to football. Basketball is coming up again, but I *think* there might be a month in between football and that. I'd like to do some crafty stuff for Christmas and finish up my PL without being behind. I'd also like to have a little time to plan out my Dec. Daily. There are some things around the house that need to get done, but I'm not sure when we will fit that in. Oh, and there's the fact that we should have a new grandson here in the next couple of weeks :)

Yeah, I think napping sounds like a fabulous plan! :hammock

Love you Maureen, that made me laugh so hard.

Seriously Kimberlee ... are you trying to stress us all out or something!! If I can just survive Fall sports and make it through the holidays I will be ahead of the game! LOL.

Only 100 days left?! :hide
I have to start my kids' individual 2016 scrapbooks. I mean, I have some LOs done but I certainly don't have them anywhere near "caught up" through Sept. I keep thinking "I have lots of time!" but reading that tmw means there are only 100 days of 2016 left, I realize I've been totally deluding myself.
One thing I started this year was keeping a journal. It's nothing fancy but I just write down the day's events and/or my feelings. It's nice to end the day by remembering something I'm grateful for or something that made me smile.

Another blog for me to day was 17 things to do before 2017. Must be that time of year. I like Kristina's take on it.
On the other hand maybe setting the 17 things would be a good idea for me. I'm fairly on track with goals, ended up scrapping a totally different way so it's hard to tell there.
@scrapsandsass how is your grandmother doing? Is it just a lot of running to help take care of her and doctors? I don't know how you take care of two grandmothers. I'll keep sending good thoughts and prayers

Aargh! 100 days?

It's going to be really busy for us. We are going away to French Polynesia next week for first break of the year, then we'll be working on the house and yard to get it all looking good before we swap our house for one in France over January :faint2

We also have big things happening with DH's business (that I help with) plus I want to repackage and get the majority of my designs into the store here.I haven't been able to do as much new designing as I would have liked, so that's definitely a goal that's carrying over till next year.

On top of that Daughter-One is graduating from university (with first degree). I'll take that as a goal achieved LOL:dancebun

This year I was so happy to complete my big 2016 goal by finishing a 25 km (15.53 miles) walk to raise money for Cancer research. I trained for four months, gradually increasing my distances travelled until I felt I was not going to fall flat on my face before the finish line! On the day I smashed my best time by a whole hour because I was so pumped to be participating. Now I have to decide on a new goal for the last 100 days of 2016 .... any suggestions?

Thank you! I'm just taking care of one grandma. Thank goodness :giggle She's doing okay. She's just frustrated with herself for breaking her neck and being out of commission as much as she is now. I have to do her errands for her and take her to the docs and help her get showered and stuff. I think once we get a routine down, it will be fine. This week has been a lot of other unexpected things I had to do, so it was a scramble, but we'll get it sorted. Right now it is just the craziness of getting her to all of the various doctor appointments and making sure she's stabilized, but it appears that she's doing pretty well considering she had four separate breaks and (as of now) no permanent damage. All of the doctors are completely amazed. :) She's a tough one.

Wow, amazing how she was not hurt more. I thought you had a grandma living with you but I'm pretty fuzzy headed today. Still it's amazing all your doing the various things for her. Seems like doc appts would be more than enough.
I think you have your goal for 100 days -- even if she is out of her brace, she'll need a little help and Christmas will be coming.

At first I thought that just having 100 days left in the year was depressing, but now I'm finding it motivating...just how much can I accomplish in that time? So, I'm setting a goal for myself to finish completely decluttering the house (I already have a pretty good start on it) by the end of the year. How awesome would it be to start 2017 in a peaceful, clutter-free home?

So much to do, so little time. I'm so much better at planning and doing than I am at executing. And DH is even so much worse. I really want to know how many days til the snow flies. We have some big outside chores to complete. Trimming the trees, fixing the steps and patio..... I get tire thinking about it.

This is the part of the year where I write off any goals that I had hoped to accomplish for the year. We are booked solid nearly every day and every weekend through the end of the year. Last year I didn't get to do any of the fall things I normally drag the kids to -- couldn't free up the time -- and the last two years the Christmas tree didn't go up until the day before we needed it. (We host four Christmas parties at our house, the first one the weekend before Christmas.)

Is it January yet? I'm already exhausted and we're still in September. LOL

So I went back to evaluate. Right at the beginning of the year (or end of last), I made a layout cataloging my wishes for my 30th birthday year. I have a tid bit under third of a year left (since I have until my birthday)...

Here's the layout:

I have to say... the majority of these I've made progress on. Perhaps not completed as much as I wanted, but looking at how much I DID do was totally awesome. I need to make a new page!

Some things to note:
My 300 layouts - already completed this year
260 miles - I won't make this. But, I've run almost 180 so far, walked some more. (I start PT for my latest running injury next week) I think May was my best running month, though August may have been a close second.

I've been in 5 states and even close enough to Canada to say I've seen a second country - I think that meets my travel goal!

We only have overnight potty training left for my son. We've installed new windows on the house. I've taken a few scrapbooking classes, grown professionally, hiked new trails, had a few family fun nights... made tons of memories.

All in all, I've done many of the things I wanted to do this year. Thanks for posting this thread and make me see that, because I didn't realize how much I was able to accomplish thus far!
