Is it just me or does it feel like a Monday to you too?

Monday holidays always throw me off for the rest of the week. I woke up this morning thinking it was Monday since we had yesterday off for Labor Day. I've been doing my Monday stuff all morning and can't seem to get it through my head that it's really Tuesday. I hope I don't forget to take DD to soccer practice tonight, because my days are off.

Do holidays throw you off or do you just go along without skipping a beat?

The holiday totally threw me as well. DS doesn't get up until 8am Mondays, and then has plenty of time to get ready to head out for class. Tuesdays he gets up at 7am and has to go at a quick pace to be out the door on time. I have programmed alarms on my phone for each day and couldn't figure out why it was going off so early this morning. I was so confused until I realized what day it actually was. :duh DD has to be up earlier every day, so I was up anyway, but it made for a bit of a frenzy this morning. Hopefully that little jolt will be enough to keep me on track now. :giggle

Yes! They throw the whole week off! Especially because I don't have to work at all this week- it's just funky! ;)

Yes! I'll be off all week too! lol! You sound like me too saying you hope you don't forget to take your daughter... that's something I would be thinking too!

It feels like a Monday, but Tuesday is my late night at work, so I got an extra hour and a half before having to start. Haha. I'll definitely be thrown off all week.

Yes, very much so! So many holidays are on a Monday, which I don't work on, so I don't get that 'buffer' day between when the other people in my house go back to work/school and when I do.

I loved not having to drop off and pick up my daughter from school yesterday but then I felt unprepared for the work week without my usual day off to run errands, etc.

Definitely!! I will be off on what day it is all week and I can pretty much guarantee that I'll forget to take my trash out on the right day.

On Labor Day we were standing in line at the amusement park and my daughter suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! Choir!" thinking we were forgetting we had to go. Nope, no choir rehearsal on Labor Day. :lol

Other than that, the long weekend hasn't had much effect because we have barely begun our fall schedule, so not used to it yet anyway. I'm referring to my calendar a dozen times every day to remember what to do. :spin

I always feel ripped off when u guys have a holiday & I don't - there was something on one of the 'light' news shows here a while back that rated countries by how many public holidays they had per year, I'm pretty sure the US had more than us & they manage to stick most of them in the school holiday blocks here so I have no sympathy for you today hmph:giggle
ETA: (hope u could read my tone in that post! )
