It has been on my bucket list to learn how to sew. A new studio opened up last year and I was always intrigued by the signs, so I finally took the plunge and signed up. Well, I am hooked. I keep signing up for classes to learn new things and how to do things correctly.
I have gotten brave enough to attempt clothing on my own and was cutting out a cardigan to put together. I ran the rotary cutter over the end of my finger and I am now missing a chunk! I will spare you pictures! And we thought the chunk was too "small" to take in, but apparently you are to take anything in, no matter how small! Lesson learned that I hope I don't have to repeat.
Of course, I did it right when my in network urgent care closed, so I opted to go to an out of network urgent care versus the ER. 1. Because of the wait time and 2. It was almost cheaper for me to go out of network than to walk into the door of the ER.
I have pretty much been unable to do much typing, crafting or anything and that's why I have been a little quiet. I managed to craft a little this weekend to get a team project done and then I was determined to get that cardigan put together.
I am now jokingly referring to it as my 300.00 cardigan with the 1.50 a yard fabric from Walmart!!!!!
And I also ordered a "klutz" glove that you wear while you are rotary cutting. I probably should have had one of those BEFORE I started sewing!
Any injuries out there while crafting?? I know @Dalis had an injury not too long ago, but I don't remember if it was crafting related.
