that last bit of Christmas bah | pad patter 1.6.2017

That happens to me too. Especially since I get hubby to immediately take everything out to the garage/storage... which is at the back of the property, and he Tetris-es it in there, so I'm not messing with it.

We have a little army of sock-rice snowmen that didn't make it into the bins. We made them right before Christmas, so they can stick around since it is still FREEZING here. Ugh.

We still have stockings out and a couple of my trees from my small Christmas tree collection. The Christmas stuff is just stored in the basement, though, so I'm just being lazy not putting it away. :assslap

this is us all the time - we took it all down today but it's still in the garage in big storage crates so anything last minute i find i have a few days grace for!

Usually I keep it all up until after the new year. This year, the kids & I were at Six Flags on New Year's Day & he texted asking if he could take down the tree. Without hesitation, I said yes. I came home to a very clean living room with Buddha sitting happily where the tree was. Hubby was very proud that he'd put Buddha on a Lazy Susan so we could spin it around if needed. :hummm Anyway, I took the last bits off the door & went to the dollar store for hearts. :heartslubMoving on, February here I come!

Nope.. all things will go away today. I was going to do it yesterday with the snow falling, but I wanted my White Christmas! :)

I'm still finding bits here and there although hubby took everything else to the storage locker already. So, I have a little pile of miscellaneous Christmas stuff living in my laundry room right now. Eventually, it'll be reunited with its Christmas family. :D

I **just** finished putting Christmas up yesterday ~ on the 7th! It was driving me crazy, but I have been taking my time since I'm still recovering from my procedures on my back. Hubby ended up pitching in and we got it done . . . but that's ALL I did yesterday. Since it took so long for me to put it up, doing a wee bit each day, I didn't leave anything straggling behind this year.

All of my Christmas stuff was put away 2 days after Christmas. It would have been the day after Christmas if I hadn't been sick. When Christmas is done, it's done! LOL.

But apparently I left one decoration hanging up outside. One of my kids just told me yesterday. Not sure what I'll do with it.

I enjoy all the decorations being up, but I could also put it all away the day after Christmas. We waited until the 30th this year, but I wanted it all put away before our NYE party. We had kids coming to our party who pretty much all wanted to ring in the new year with Nerf wars, so I didn't want anything to get broken.

The is a little wall hanging I have that says "Let it Snow" that is around the corner by our "official" front door, that no one ever uses because we all come in the garage side door. That things has been known to stay up all year long a few times. :giggle There is also a stained glass string of lights that I put up on the dining room picture window and I've been know to forget to take that down too. Then whenever I find something I miss... it sits on top of the bins until next Christmas.
