TGIF!!! What's on for the weekend?

Hello, Friday! Personally, I am really glad it's Friday. It's amazing how busy things get when you have to cram 5 days of work into 4 days. Having Monday off made for a crazy week! I'm down to a few hours of volunteering in J's kindergarten class and then some conference calls for work. Then, it's TGIF time! DH and I are redecorating our bedroom so I have some fun shopping and decisions to make on curtains this weekend. DD1 has tennis on Saturday. We'll probably do our usual Saturday night sushi. Then, church on Sunday. It's going to be a pretty low-key weekend. I'm ready for it! How about you?
 
So glad it is Friday! This is the first weekend in months that we don't have a jam packed schedule. I am looking forward to relaxing.
 
Honestly, I wish it was Monday and everyone would be gone for a few days. I need to recover from Gavin being so sick. Hopefully my hubby will do some stuff with the boys this weekend.
 
We're off campervanning this weekend. It's one of the few weekends that feels like summer so we're going to a pretty bit of seaside a couple of hours away to do some walking, playing and paddling. There may even be fish and chips :).
 
Not sure what were doing this weekend, nothing is set in concrete, but our weekends always seem to be busy no matter what. I'm really hoping to get a start on the TLP challenges this weekend...and my apt seriously needs to be cleaned.
 
Sleep, sleep, and hopefully more sleep. :p The kids have been back in school for two weeks, which means I now have about a 26-hour sleep deficit to catch up on.

DH is working all weekend, so it'll just be me and the kids. There's a cold front coming through tonight and our highs will only be in the 80's Saturday and Sunday (vs. the 104°F predicted for today), so at least that means we'll be able to get outside for a bit without spontaneously combusting. :giggle
 
Getting away with DH ALONE!!! We're heading to camp for the weekend & I so, so need to just chill after the week I've had! This week just kicked my butt with this stupid 'crud' I got that's now settling in my chest, my car died (hoping its just a battery), attended a visitation for a friend's son, and my 7 y/o grandson was shot with a CO BB gun by a 13 y/o and now has to have surgery and he's scared to go home. Seriously, I just don't know what more can happen at this point.

Anyone got some Calgon?!?!? Please......Calgon, Take Me Away!
 
Oh thank goodness it's Friday!! It was a rough week - especially for a short week.

Tonight I think we're all going to a friend's house for a cookout. Beer can chicken - YUM! Tomorrow we have a grooming appointment for the dog and I want to go to Old Navy to find some inexpensive work clothes (they have these simply adorable striped dresses that I just have to try on. And super cute cardigans.) and just walk around the mall with the kids. Maybe grab some lunch.

Other than that we have nothing planned really. DH and I have been thinking about moving around our bedroom so we may do that. And the house needs some spot cleaning. But I plan to mostly relax, read and scrap!
 
So glad it's Friday! DH is gonna be working a little at the lake house getting our little bunkhouse ready, pouring slab and all that fun stuff. I think I'm gonna just chill this weekend and get some crafting done that I've been wanting to do. Maybe scrap a page. :) I'm probably going to go get a pedi and have my toes painted teal! I love that color & I'm glad it helps support Ovarian Cancer awareness, too!

Football, football, and more football. ATOM (8 - 10 years) season starts this week, although the kids have been practicing and doing tournaments all June and August. Then church + visiting relatives from the US. Oh, and maybe cleaning up the "school" shelf (weeding out dead felts, cruddy erasers, old notebooks, etc).
 
Tonight cannot come soon enough! I've been at work until 11 p.m. the last two nights. I should be out of there by 6 tonight, and that starts a weekend of complete nothing for me! (Well, I might have to hit the grocery store and Costco, but other than that, nothing!! LOL!)
 
Not much and I'm hoping it stays that way, so I can get in some scrap time! The only other thing on my agenda is the Packer Game tomorrow afternoon, with friends and good cheer!

I can't remember the last time I was this grateful to see a Friday.

Not a ton of plans this weekend. Working here at OLBWHQ. Surprise b-day party tomorrow for one of the doctors I work for, just have to pop in and make the obligatory appearance at that. (WHY on earth anyone thinks it's a good idea to surprise a man who's on dialysis 2x weekly and on the waiting list for his next kidney is beyond me, but they said the magic words "free food" and "free drinks" so I'll be there!) Then it's back here for more work at OLBWHQ. I'm behind.

I might try to convince the boy to see a movie with me one afternoon, though. I really want to see the Total Recall remake because I WORE OUT our VHS tape of the original Total Recall when I was in High School. The boy is always good for a matinee.
 
We have the usual sports stuff with the boys. A couple football games, a soccer game, swim practice. It's been rainy and muddy here and apparently my boys are taking football team photos AFTER their football games tomorrow. That should be fun to watch.

My oldest has a birthday party sleepover so he'll be gone most of the rest of the weekend. I am planning to get some more BYOC scrapping done!

I also need to get a lot of work done on our PTO directory and send it to the printers before all the PTO moms start to hassle me about it. :) And I have a Little League board meeting on Sunday night. Which is always fun. Those meetings are essentially me and our female Treasurer drinking beers with all the guys with a little bit of work thrown in.
 
I too am glad it's Friday. With the kids starting back at school and me having to play catch up on just about anything I'm looking forward to just relaxing this weekend. Have a good one everyone!
 
So glad it's the weekend, but we are busy busy busy still! Hubby has to work some, which is not normal, so we will miss him around. We have a neighborhood back to school cook-out tomorrow night to celebrate the first week of kids being back in school. Hopefully by Sunday we can relax!
 
I only have one thing on my agenda that has to get done this weekend and that is a quick meeting on Saturday afternoon with our MC. Other than that I plan to lay around, study and maybe do some quilting. Our last 2 weekends were busy and I want to do nothing but what I want to do. Hopefully hubby and I will get a run in on Sat. and Sun. together as well. I love weekends cuz we get to run together.
 
I'm having a vacation from my vacation this weekend!

relaxing, a little cleaning, grocery shopping...

Rick's disability is over on Monday, so he's getting all ready to go back to work. He's extremely nervous about which job, will he be able to do the work, will they turn him around because he's an old man, etc... He's headed to a union picnic today to talk to some of the guys about the jobs, talking to the dispatch person, etc... I'm not going! It's way too hot here still, and I'm just needing time to be alone!
