TGIF! What's on for the weekend?!

Are you in high gear for the holidays? What do you have planned for the weekend?

Not too much planned here.
John has a competition Saturday, and we don't know how long that will even take, and I'm pretty dang incapable of keeping up with all three out in public right now. Bella won't use a stroller, I can't pick her up to put her in a basket to go shopping, I can't carry her, and I can't walk with her and keep up with the boys. So without John we're pretty home-bound, we'll even have to miss out on the Cub Scouts Christmas float and the town's Christmas parade. ((sorry pity party moment))

And Sunday... well I guess that depends on how John is feeling after Saturday.

I will say that I am going out to eat tonight with my mom, aunt, and cousin for a completely non-alcoholic girls' night. lol I can't drink ((dur)), my mom doesn't drink, and my cousin doesn't drink either since she's trying super hard to get pregnant.

My 18th month old nephew is coming over tomorrow! It will be the first time he's been over by himself so that should be an adventure - especially since he's scared of my dog. And she's smaller than he is!

I'm hoping to tackle some of the stuff on my to-do list this weekend. I still have stuff from my vacation 2 weeks ago that needs to be put away and I really need to get rid of come clothes and do some cleaning. Not fun, but it would be good to get stuff done before I start my holiday to-do list! And I plan to do a lot of scrapping! I need to make some progress on my nephew's baby album, which I was supposed to give as a gift last Christmas!

Our town holds a Santa parade tomorrow. It is a total small town deal with the school bands and lots of local businesses and organizations (or anyone really) with their cars/trucks decked out in lights. I'm excited to take Kennedy because last year, he was just under a year old, and I don't think he really appreciated it as much as he will this year. I know next year will be even better though. I love the parade. Back in my volunteering days, we had a "float" in the parade (DH's truck) and it was so much fun.

I'm also going to try to get ahead on my new Masters program that started yesterday (and take scrapping breaks in-between chapters?) ;)

Our second annual Elf viewing party is Saturday night, so I need to make some party favors tonight. This weekend there will be college football-watching, church, finishing Christmas cards, and making progress on Project Life. Oh and hopefully finish Christmas shopping too!

Got. To. Put. Up. Christmas. Decorations. Usually by now, I've got the house decorated and tree put up. This year...its just busy, busy, busy!

Not much really. I was going to go to a holiday festival tomorrow but we're supposed to get gusty winds again so that's probably out. Really, I just want to relax before the madness of packing next week starts.

Kenzie wants to go see the Hugo movie. I need to order my cards, get them addressed and wrap....Not sure I want to though. lol. It is a rainy weekend here and seems like a good time to snuggle up with Christmas movies or a book.

My in-laws are coming for dinner tonight and I made this chocolate cake and I'm in the process of making a new lasagna recipe using Italian turkey sausage.

Tomorrow morning is our town parade and then we're spending the afternoon putting up the Christmas tree, making Chex mix and watching a Christmas movie. :)

This sounds like so much fun!! :D

These are the last couple of days that my mom is here. :( We're going to a Christmas concert, either tonight or tomorrow night. DH is leaving Sunday afternoon on a business trip, so after that I guess my mom and I will hit the mall to look for his Christmas gift(s). :)

This is the calmest of the December weekends for us. We have a party on Saturday evening and a couple sport things for the kids. I will also be gift shopping, making and ordering cards, and scrapping.

These are the must haves for the weekend:

-Breakfast with Santa tomorrow at a restaurant near our house
-MUST put up the christmas tree and other decorations
-finish my designs for December BYOC

These are the things I'd LIKE to accomplish:
-get a few more weeks of Project Life done
-Finish my Christmas card design
-Get my blog updated
-Wrap some presents
-Buy some more presents

Let's see what actually gets done!

We just got home from getting the Carothers Family Christmas Tree....good times! It's up and watered and now I'm just waiting for the branches to fall..we will decorate it in the morning. We will be hanging lights outside and finishing up our inside decorations this weekend and hopefully I can wrap up my christmas shopping! We may go to Legoland Sunday...not sure yet

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

I started book one of the Mortal Instruments and have no 2 and 3 sitting here from the library so reading is def. on my agenda this weekend. I want to put up some pictures.. clean and put our tree up. Other than that, a pretty low key weekend. I'm exhausted, it was a crazy week!!

I'm hoping to talk my MIL into making Christmas cookies with DD and me tomorrow afternoon if I bring the premade sugar cookie dough. I know DD will love being able to use the cookie cutters to make 'cooks.' We were supposed to have SS this weekend, but his mom planned a bunch of things for him to do, so not sure what the plan is now or if we'll see him.

DH has to work Sunday, so after Miss Monkey and I go to church, we'll be stuck in the house the rest of the day. Maybe it will snow before it gets dark so I can dress her up in her new Hello Kitty hat and mittens and take some pics for December Daily. :)

Sounds like y'all will be having way more fun that me this weekend, Actually I do LOVE my job very much....
Here is my Agenda...
Friday 10am-8pm WORK
Saturday 10am-9pm WORK
Sunday 10am-6 PM WORK

I'm in the same boat Melanie~ I don't have a stitch of Christmas up yet. . . so lots to get done this weekend!

Tree goes up this weekend, and I'm sure we'll run a bunch of errands, but other than that, I'm hoping it will be a quiet weekend hanging around the house!
