TGIF! What's on for the weekend?

Today is our 11th wedding anniversary! We are going out in the city tomorrow night to celebrate. We have our usual sports weekend with both boys - football, soccer and baseball games and swim practice. There is a fun family festival going on tomorrow afternoon that we look forward to attending every year, so that is on the agenda, too.

I'm wrapping up a big project this weekend that I will be happy to get off my plate. Life has been so full lately.

We are just hanging around this weekend. I might take the kids over to the apple store at the outdoor historical museum nearby. We went there last weekend for an 19th century county fair even they were having. The kids had a great time! So we may go back and get candy apples or something just for fun?

Other than that, a football game is about the only thing on the to-do list. Nice and quiet for a change.

For us, we have go to work both, so it will be mostly a non-family weekend. :(
But I´m looking forward to next week when we both have off, yay!

We don´t have much planned except that my sister and her boyfriend are coming to stay in my place this weekend. She lives in Sao Paulo (the capital) and I live far away from her in the country side of Sao Paulo State, which is like 5 or 6 hours by car! I can´t wait to have them here with me!

Football weekend here too. CFL game tonight (kids night - so they get in half price), ATOM football game tomorrow (my 8 year old), football team event swimming on Sat nigth (they rented the local pool), and another team event Sunday afternoon - they get to attend the local Canadian minor league football team's practice on Sunday. Who knew that one sport could so dominate a season. :)

I'll have to work this weekend. Blah. Time consuming and little satisfactory work mostly. Blah! I need to write up this week's council meeting minutes for a professional society of which I'm secretary, and go shopping for a university-wide event I'm organizing next week. Plus, DH is sick, so it looks like it's going to be an overall blah weekend! :)

Today I am going on a food tour this morning to a suburb that is like little Vietnam. It should be fun. This afternoon I need to get some more inventory done, I really need to get it done this week.

Tomorrow we got free tickets to a home and garden show. Then in the evening we are going for drinks at the Opera House to farewell a friend.
 
With the excitement we had today (if you aren't on my FB page... Jessica had an allergic reaction to medication they gave her at the endocrinologist today, which was pretty much the scariest moment of my life), I'm hoping for a calm and relaxing weekend!

DH is setting up my new big monitor tonight!! WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I'm running the Akron marathon at 7am tomorrow and then the rest of the weekend... nothing. LOL
 
I have a big bag of apples that I'm going to turn into a pie this weekend! :) There are some local festivals that sound fun too. Mostly, I want to catch up on my Tivo - I've got the last All My Children, the Office and Vampire Diaries to watch.

Tonight we had dinner at a friend's house and it was really nice not to have to cook! Brady gets along really well with their oldest daughter and they had a blast and entertained themselves. Noah, just tried to carry around the, "babies" (their 14 month old). lol. Tomorrow we have round 2 of soccer. Hoping it goes better than it did last Saturday. lol. Then we're going to a zoo nearby. My sister and her boys are coming along too, so it should be a good time for the kids! It'll be Noah's first zoo trip, so I'm bringing the camera along. :) Then I'm going shopping for a few new work outfits. I've been home for 4 years now, so I need some basic suiting essentials! I think I'm going to hit up The Limited. They have some great fall pieces and I have coupons! And I think we'll take the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese for dinner, so I'll be pretty much exhausted when we get home.

Nothing much going on this weekend. DH is working thru the weekend 12 to 14 hours. Gives me a little time to scrap and watch a couple of chick flicks :)
 
I'm back! It went awesome. It was a super hard course, so I was expecting to fall apart at the end, but I felt so good and strong the entire time, and finished 11 minutes faster than I thought I would. 4:34:00

I'm working on physical scrap this weekend, making cards for some challenges, organizing my stuff and practising with Copics :D
