It's Friiiiday!!! :thumbsups

What do you have planned for the weekend?

I've been out of town helping my brothers with a project and I am flying home tonight. My mom is coming along because my oldest daughter has prom this weekend. Grammy can't miss that! So, we have a day of beauty planned tomorrow and then her group of friends is having photos at our house before the big dance. It will definitely be a busy and fun weekend for us.

I have an International TableTop Day event that a gaming group that my brother and I started a couple of months back and the local public library are cohosting. I'm soooo excited! I have no idea of what to expect regarding turnout but we're making it as big as we possibly can with the time we had to throw it together. We've got 20 volunteers lined up to help people learn the games, now we're just hoping we have more people than just the volunteers show up. :)

On Sunday, we're going to try to get a small garden in if the weather cooperates. Otherwise it'll be next weekend.

Tate has an overnight campout with the first year Boy Scouts Saturday out by the Arboretum, so we're going out for the day to see what they do and Sunday is Rugby for both boys. Should be a great weekend for lots of outdoor activities! Oh, and Taekwondo today and tomorrow too!

I'm not totally sure, but I'm excited. My kids and DH are coming home from Florida now... so I'm excited to see them and hear more about their Spring Break (I had to work.) So... I'm thinking an Egg Hunt that I've planned for them, maybe a beach day/play in the sand/boardwalk/park day. LOL! That sounds nice... and it will be one of the warmest weekends we've had. I'm excited!

Sunday I'm taking my younger daughter out for a birthday lunch at The Cheesecake Factory (she turned 36 last Thursday). My older daughter and the two grandkids ( 5 & 6) will be there, too. We don't all get together often so it'll be fun.

One daughter has an all day track meet, one daughter will want a sleepover, and my son is in the middle of a big room re-haul- he has rearranged all the furniture in his room and needs to get that finished.
I need to help my husband finish the taxes, place a photography order for a client (waiting for the check), and clean out a bunch of stuff to donate from my craft room. I also need to get into the attic and grab the out-of-season clothes for myself and my girls. Once I get those switched out I'll feel ready for Spring/Summer!

We're getting up bright an early to go see the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC tomorrow morning. It'll be the first day of peak blossoms, so it will be crazy. We're planning on being there before 7:00 am to (hopefully) beat the rush and get home before the parade starts.

We have a small hockey "gala" on Saturday. We are trying to go to a local drum concert on Saturday too.

Ummm...it's Master's weekend...so that means that we will be stuck at home watching as much golf as my DH can. My DH LOVES golf...I just haven't come around to it yet. He's been trying for 4 years to get me to go out with him. And here's my dilemma...I am extremely competitive, and I hate to suck at a sport - even if I have never played it!! Haha
Also, I'm worried that I will just love it, and he will absolutely hate golfing with me (even though he says he never will).
But I think that I'm going to try it out this year...we'll see how it goes!
I also have kids sleeping over with my son, and and daughter going to a sleep over, and a birthday party...so we'll see just how much sitting around the DH gets to do :giggle

My DH is making the 5-hour trek across state for our other grandson's birthday. I can't go for various reasons, so I'll be at home. My brother's b-day was yesterday, so we're going out for lunch to celebrate on Sunday. I'm working on filing taxes (blech), purging/organizing, drafting blogposts, and hopefully working on the literature review for my thesis. But I'm sure some of that will be relegated to another time, and my daughter and I will catch up on The Blacklist. :) I'm just really excited that I don't have to cook a traditional dinner for the next three days!!!

I don't what I am going to do with myself. . . . .we have no hockey!!

We are taking a tree down in the yard tomorrow. And maybe painting my son's room. How fun (insert sarcastic tone here).
We do have a birthday dinner to attend on Sunday. Overall, it's gonna be a slow weekend, but that's okay since we have some fun stuff planned as the weather gets nicer. I am hoping to watch the turkey vulture family and get some pics too.
Looking forward to next weekend because we are going to the local wildlife rescue for an Earth day event.

umm. go outside!

seriously though .. we have sports now that spring is here. 1st soccer game starts this weekend. but all i really want is to do anything, be anywhere ... as long as it is outside.

we've had 5 days of thick grey, rain and clouds. i hear the weekend is sup'd to be nice here in NY. i need to feel the sun on my face, not through a window!

Saturday I'll be driving back home from the beach. :( Then Sunday after church will be getting ready for school to start again - laundry, laundry and more laundry.

I was too busy to even see this! I spend my whole weekend painting my family room. AGAIN. I just painted it last weekend in between Good Friday and Easter stuff and then I put the whole room back together and I really didn't like the color. It was supposed to be a lighter tan color and ended up super peachy/pinkish. I coudn't leave it. So I had to tear it all apart and do it again, except this time without my Friday off work and Soccer started on Saturday. The good news is that I really like the new color I put up. This time around I also decided to paint all the old wood trim white. I finished the last coat of paint on that, but need my hubby's help to put that back up.

Laura, I saw the picture...she looked STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!! congrats!!!!!!!
