OK, I know it's the epitome of slackness, but some PL-ers are doing 6x12 inserts in our books and are sort of creating our own templates for that.

I know, I know, it's not hard.

BUT, my laziness would LOVE some project life style (cough *project grids*)
templates in that size. Just a thought? And thanks for listening, hehe...

This would be great. I've been altering Amy's (yes, YOU!) Project Grids for my 6x12 inserts, just did one for week 15 in fact! It would be great to have them ready to go.

I must be an idiot because what do we do with a 6x12 insert?

They make 6x12 page protectors for PL and it's a nice little size for an insert when you have extra photos but not enought to require 2 full sized pages (front/back). I create them separately, then print them as one 12x12 sheet and cut them in half for my book.

It's a new concept to me this year as well, and SO FUN. I only have a few in my book (for example, school festival/vacation/prom pics) and usually don't post them in the gallery b/c mine tend to be mostly photos, but I love the idea.

I have stumbled across a couple of templates that size and it really makes life easier. I think Amy or some of the other designers here could rock these :).

So, how does it look like once your book is all put together?

Renee - I've done a few of them (haven't printed yet!) I did one this week as well. I uploaded it in the gallery.

Anyway, when I print it, I will cut the 12x12 page in half, vertically. When I place it into the 6x12 page protector, I'll put the halves into the protector with the blank sides together. I'll put that insert in the book in the middle of my left and right pages for that week.

It took me a bit to figure it out in my head. Here's a good blog post with pictures. :) Here's a post I made earlier with questions about it: https://the-lilypad.com/forums/showthread.php/30529-Extra-page-suggestions

and the blog post I was pointed to, which helped me figure it out! http://www.familybees.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/2013-project-life-book-one.html

Thank, Tali. Here is my most recent for week 12. It's for a festival at the end of a super busy week.

I will have it printed and cut it in half like Tali said...

And a quick search shows these awesome ideas for adding that size to PL albums...

So... I'm addicted :). And it may just be Tali's fault, hehe

Since mine will be printed in a book, I create the 2 6x12s and put them on 2 12x12s (so half the page is just plain white). When you get the book printed and back to you, you cut the white half off and that's your insert.
