1. One awesome thing that's happened to you recently.
I finally met some friends here. Moving around so much and having everyone around you move so much really makes it hard to find friends...especially ones that you really click with.
2. One thing coming up that you're looking forward to.
Time off from work at the end of this month. Though I'm not looking forward to the reason I'm taking time off...
3. One place you would visit, if money was not a factor.
Ireland. I love tropics and islands and all....but I'd love to visit Ireland.
4. One book that you love.
The Great Gatsby. I've heard a few people say how they've re-read it recently and fell in love with it all over again. It's on my list of things to read soon.
5. One era in time that you'd go back to visit...you know, if it were possibe.
1950's. I've always had a fascination with that time period. The 1920's would be a close second.
6. One of your favorite childhood memories.
My dad and my grandfather teaching me how to play baseball (well, wiffleball) when I was about 4-5. It's strange how clearly I can remember it!

1. One awesome thing that's happened to you recently. I've been selected for several CT's. With all of my "kid volunteering" stopping recently, it's given me something to spend my "free time" hours on.
2. One thing coming up that you're looking forward to. My son's trip to Philmont. He's been wanting to go again and I KNOW he's going to have a wonderful time and come home with lots of memories.
3. One place you would visit, if money was not a factor. Australia/New Zealand
4. One book that you love. Too tough to narrow down, I like so many genres of books!
5. One era in time that you'd go back to visit...you know, if it were possible. When my kids were small and I could see my grandparents everyday if I wanted to.
6. One of your favorite childhood memories. Going shopping with my grandmother, having lunch at Jordan Marsh.

1. One awesome thing that's happened to you recently.
A five day visit from my sister and her family. The adults had a great time and i LOVED hearing the infinite laughs and giggles and good times had by the cousins.
2. One thing coming up that you're looking forward to.
A visit to my parents at the end of the month, where my sister and cousins will also be, and where my mom and sister get to attend a Beth Moore conference.
3. One place you would visit, if money was not a factor.
How to narrow it down to just one place? I love to travel! But some friends recently visited Hawaii and I would love to go there one day to soak up all that beauty.
4. One book that you love.
One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp
5. One era in time that you'd go back to visit...you know, if it were possibe.
Only to visit, I am not sure I have the constitution to live in it, but I love Little House on the Prairie days :)
6. One of your favorite childhood memories.
Was actually just thinking about this this morning, I love the hours we spent sitting around the table talking and playing board games together.

Yay for friends, I can totally relate to this!

1. One awesome thing that's happened to you recently: I learned how to make homemade pizza crust that is better than dominos (per my kiddos). Saves a ton of money! :) Oh, and being a guest polly!!
2. One thing coming up that you're looking forward to: Camping. You could ask me this all summer long and the answer would be the same.
3. One place you would visit, if money was not a factor: Disney World with the kids or a carribean cruise just with DH.
4. One book that you love: Twilight - whole series.
5. One era in time that you'd go back to visit...you know, if it were possible: The time of Jesus Christ's life.

I always thought that I would be well suited for the 40s. The clothes were much more flattering for my body type back then..lol.
6. One of your favorite childhood memories.
Churning ice cream with my parents. We had a hand crank machine and everyone would take turns (though Dad's turn was much longer than ours), and our neighbors would usually come over and partake as well. Oh the fun lazy days of summer.

2. One thing coming up that you're looking forward to. - Hubby and I have reservations to eat at St Elmo's in downtown Indy. Super nice steak house... very much looking forward to this!!
3. One place you would visit, if money was not a factor. -First Ireland. Then back to Spain. In a heartbeat. And then maybe Italy after that.
4. One book that you love. - Fever Series.
5. One era in time that you'd go back to visit...you know, if it were possibe. - All of the reading I've been doing lately seems to be based sometime between the 1300's and 1500's. Maybe I've romanticized it in my head, but I'm so drawn to the simpler way of life and the slower rhythm of the world. I would love to at least visit... not sure if I could adjust to live there forever. But maybe.
6. One of your favorite childhood memories. - Trips to West Virginia to visit my grandparents. Most of my fondest childhood memories involve my grandpa... trips to candy stores, playing I Spy, sliding down the side of mountains... all good stuff!

6. One of your favorite childhood memories. The one on one time I had with my Mom when I was little. There were lots of kids so this always made me feel so loved. She would take me shopping to the fabric store, or sometimes to the mall and buy me a corndog from The Corndog Factory. I always thought that was such a treat! And I loved when she read to me, and as I got older we sometimes read chapter books together.

6. One of your favorite childhood memories. My mom and godfather took my brother and I to the ocean. It was grey and cold so there was really no one on the beach but us. We spent several hours collecting big black beetles and putting them into a mayo jar we found on the sand. When we had over half the jar full, it was totally freaking us all out because they were so gross and climbing all over, so we tipped the jar and ran (like they were going to catch us?). LOL. And the only reason that popped into my head today is from seeing Robin's post about singing the Billy Joel song... because we sang that song on that day in the car!
