Sarita (my daughter for those who havent been here long) had her wound re dressed last week and all was going well- I did have the same eopration when I was 23....and hwne they re-dressed it last week, they did exactly the same tecnic they did to me 30 years ago.... so I said to her: do NOT move- stay in bed, on your side, do NOT move-

did she listen?
of course NOT-
Yesterday she had her two best friends, she cut & color their hairs...both have very long hair-
This morning she came almost crying, the wound is wet, she was in pain- I looked it up, I will spare you the description but lets say that something is oozing from there that shouldn't and the hole is now bigger.....
So tomorrow is hospital again for us-

Thank God I now have the car-
I had to come relax a bit, as I still have the challenge 29 to make...
can't post this on Facebook because my parents see it and freak...

I will chain her to the bed when we come back tomorrow, even more.......I may decide to ground her till she is 21
:rofl:rofl:rofl

need to laugh so I don't cry!!!

Oh no, that's awful. Poor Sarita (and poor you seeing your daughter in such pain). I hope they fix this up and it doesn't happen again. (Don't scare your mom like this Sarita! :giggle)

oh no! I hope she is fixed up soon and that she will listen to mum this time ;)

Teenagers have an off swicth when it comes to listening to parents.. so frustrating - hopefully not too much damage is done. xx

Moms only know best when it's what I would have done anyway, right? I hope she listens this time!

Cyn- hope she feels better and will listen. never easy to sit still.

oh Cynthia. prayers and hugs darling. Maybe a shot or 2 of vodka for you!

Or you could give her the vodka... that would keep her still. LOL. Sorry, pretend you didn't hear that :giggle

Also, thanks to Lorry, I am now singing the Mother Knows Best song from the Disney cartoon Tangled. Thank you.

Seriously though, I'm sorry for the inconvenience and pain of this and for the hard lesson. Poor thing. I hope she gets better really soon and that you guys both end up having a good day together in spite of it all.

Hugs and prayers for both of you. Laughing at the vodka comments from Ellie and Jen.:giggle

Wishing Sarita a speedy and full recovery. :beat

Yikes! That is scary! I hope that she will listen after this. I know it's no fun to be stuck in bed, but she'll just make it longer that she has to be in bed if she doesn't take her time and heal!

Sometimes difficult consequences from their choices make the best teacher. It's hard as a parent to let it happen. Hope she didn't do any permanent damage and will heal well SOON.

Hmmm, scary how teenagers can be so frustrating. I'm not looking forward to that part!
Perhaps you should try by saying the opposite???

All fun aside, I also am wishing she will have learned her lesson after the painful hickup now. And that's it's resolved very fast!!

Sending you both lots of love!

Thanks Sara :) yup, I think she learnt this lesson now :)

she is recovering nicely, Friday we are again in the dressing clinic (today we were too)
thanks so much you all!!!!

Hope not too much damage was done. Teens can be so headstrong and impulsive. Can be trying at times. :eyeroll:eek

Hoping she is feeling well Cynthia! I'm not looking forward to the teenager knows all and is smarter than their parents age.
