Teen acne???

You might consider a dermatologist, and from a personal experience, I'd stay away from the cheap stuff you can buy at the store. My 12 year old started suffering from acne about 5 months ago. I gave him some cheap stuff from Walmart (can't even remember the brand). He was red all over around his nose and lips. I then placed a Mary Kay order and bought some mens face cleanser from them. It dramatically decreased within 2 washes. I now wonder if he was breaking out as a reaction to the face cleanser. Going to see someone professional might help determine if there are any face allergies or sensitivies. I'm not saying anything bad about cheap stuff (lol, I like cheap stuff), just saying that if you have something that doesn't appear to work, try something else :)

@tkradtke if you give ProActiv a try and it doesn't work out, Unblemish from Rodan and Fields is a life changer for many! It's from the same dermatologists who created ProActiv. It's just a bit different and works better for some. My SIL suffered from severe acne and had been to dermatologist after dermatologist who tried all sorts of meds and treatments and she was getting worse! Unblemish worked! I will disclose that I am a Rodan + Fields consultant, and will be happy to talk with you about it, but if you know one personally, and can't find another solution for her, speak to them. It is one of the most powerful regimens that R+F offers. I've seen so many lives literally transformed because of this product!

My son who is 17 now had bad acne. During his yearly physical (@16) the doctor put him on oral antibiotics and a cream. He explained it as cleaning up some bad bacteria in his body. I made sure I knew what the side affects were from this cream. His face cleared up!! Yah!

You really need to be careful going to the dermatologist some of those acne medicines are a little worrisome! I've heard of some really bad side affects from some other moms! Causing depression and more!

No Matter What You Do Research The Side Affects!
