Hello! Thank you for playing along with my technique scrap!

It's nearly HALLOWEEEEEEN and time for some spoooooookiness!

Today, I'm going to give you 3 quick techniques to add some spookiness to your Halloween photos. First, we are going to turn someone into a ghost using the motion blur filter. Next, we'll add some fog using a simple soft brush and lastly, we will turn day into night with a couple of adjustment layers.

SLOW SCRAP INSTRUCTIONS
For today's scrap, I'd like you to create a layout using ONE of the examples of above to add spookiness to a photo on your LO. You don't have to use a Halloween photo and it doesn't have to be a Halloween LO

That's the only requirement on your layout, but of course, as always....please participate in the discussion and make a LO you love!

Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

This is a slow scrap so you have 24 hours to complete your LO. You must have your page posted here by: 3pm ET- October 26, 2018 to qualify! Please remember that your layout must comply with our gallery rule of 50% TLP products. I will be PMing the eligible scrappers their participation prize from this thread. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Well clearly I need a lot more practice but here's my first take on a layout using the fog technique.

thank you for the fun chat, and the challenge. Here's my page with the fog technique.

Thanks for the chat, Farrah! I lost my connection completely at the end. :( I'm reading all of the instructions right now and am anxious to try them.

Somehow I ended up using a photo of Stonehenge too. (I started off with one of Canberra alien-like Parliament House but it proved to hard to do a good fog effect due to the shape of the building).

Thanks for this one Farrah! Fun and quick to do...poor Georgia though and she's the one who asked me to the photo shoot!

Not sure if we're supposed to post here too. Remove if not appropriate. Thanks. This was so much fun.

Well, I changed my mind, went with changing a daytime photo to night. In addition to the hue/saturation & brightness/contrast adjustment layer, I ended up also having to add a levels adjustment. I still didn't like what I was seeing, maybe because my photo was b&w to begin with. So anyway, I blended it into a background from NBK's deFrightful, and I think it's a keeper. Thanks for the chat & the tutorials, also the moon pic!

Had so much fun with this one too. I'd call this a successful Slow Scrap! Thanks so much.

this was just the best way to spend an evening learning!

Thank you Farrah, I went with the day to night, and used your perfect moon (how I love that blending effect) and then added some fog, and well, then Zombies! bhehwhahhaha
