Today, I needed 2 pairs of running shorts. That is all. I popped into Target because it's super close to my house. Grabbed the shorts. Then, I remembered that someone told me Target has washi tape now in the office section. (Oh yes, they do! Lots of different colors too. $4 for a 4 pack) So, I wandered over there and put that in the cart. For reasons that still aren't clear to me, the colors in the tape made me think that I really needed new pillows in leaf green and turquoise for my family room. 5 new pillows jumped into my cart. Then, of course, I had to visit the dollar spot. $183 later, I emerged. I think Target won that round. I can never, ever get out of that place for less than $100. ever. Even when I only need running shorts.

You're not alone...that darn dollar spot gets me every time too!!!
 
my mother is HORRIBLE in Target! She will load up with tons of crap & then guilt me into buying some stuff too! She is the worse enabler EVER!!! Maybe that's why I like shopping with her so much!!! Target - here we come!!!!
 
you are sooooooo not alone!!! Then they added food to Targets and I just have to stop for some cookies and chips and salsa and whatever else I'm craving and then I think we need new kitchen towels and then I need this and then I need this... and I can't go in there for just one outfit... I end up getting a week's worth LOLOL

Yessss! And then I wonder why I even walked clear to the other side of the store from the one thing I went in there for!
 
Target is my ultimate weakness. It is my absolute favorite in the whole wide world store, but I try not to go that often for exactly that reason. When we pass a Target my kids always yell out 'Hey mom! There's your favorite store!!' :)
 
I'm the same way... especially at the one by me that is a Super Target. So now I'm out of luck because they just added groceries to the other one that is on my way home from work. Making it that much more tempting to one stop shop even for just a few items. UGH, maybe I should just buy stock?

Target is my favorite store ever, so yes, I know exactly of what you speak, Laura. I purposely drive around the one close to our house so that my car doesn't turn into the parking lot without my permission. :giggle
 
the only way i resist is to not go in at all.

but, sadly, the local store has some kind of super tractor beam that sucks my car into the lot... even when i am headed somewhere else, for some reason, on occasion, i end up parking in the target lot wondering...how did i get here? it's so automatic that it's quite sad.
 
I LOVE target! When I am in the mood to spend a little money and have some time alone I love to browse through Target. I try to justify it because they do have so many useful things there; more so than the other ways I waste money! :)
 
The closest store to me (by about 30 seconds) is Target. And a year ago they turned ours into a grocery store one. So now, even when I just need to do a run for milk, I go to Target. I think there have been two times in all of history that I've walked out of there spending under $20. And both times I celebrated. And probably went back the next day and spent $100. It's seriously my favorite store.
 
I have a friend who says she spends her monthly mortgage amount at Target!!!!

Honestly, it's SO easy to buy extra goodies there, I so agree! I love their jackets and coats!

And, I live very close to one as well... it's more dangerous that way, I think! haha! :)
 
Yesterday we went in there for face cream, shampoo, parchment paper, and garbage bags. Oh and the washi tapes! But my Target doesn't have the washi tapes, cry! Anyhoo... walked out spending over $100. Todd and I looked at each other and wondered what happened, LOL. The only other store that does this to us is Costco.
 
I havent been in Target in i think 2? months LOL. I have one right next door to me too. I can resist.
I think just for fun, I will go over there tommorrow and see how much I can spend
 
Old Navy does this to me. I go in for flip flops and come out with 5 pairs of jeans and NO flip flops.
I usually just run into walmart if i need soap or detergent. i usually shop at the grocery store.

we dont have target here but im like that in a certain clothes shop here called Next and im even worse now i have Gabbi
 
Ha ha! That cartoon is spot on! (pun intended) :) I love that store but I spend WAY too much when I go there!
