What's the tallest building you've been to? Bonus if it has an observation deck!
While my brother was visiting, we did the High Roller which is a ferris wheel, and went to the Eiffel Tower observation deck (vegas- not paris). Both are shorter than the CN tower though!

My brother says he's trying to hit all the tall places - they drive to the St. Louis Arch last school break.

How about you? How high up have you been?

I think the highest I have been is the Empire State Building. What a view, loved it. But that was many years ago...

I don't do heights very well; we did the wheel in Pigeon forge TN which is probably my highest.

I've been to the observation floor of the St Louis arch. I can't remember what year it was, but it was in the 90s. I thought the tumbler elevator was fun, but some people sure didn't!
DH wants to visit the observation deck of the Empire State building. I've taken a pic of the building lol but I've never been up there.

I have never been in any super tall buildings. But, I have stood on the New River Gorge Bridge which is the third tallest bridge in the US at 876'. It's pretty close to us and they have Bridge Day every year. People come from all over the world to base jump off the bridge.

Living in Chicago, I've been up in the Sear's Tower (refuse to call it Willis) and we usually do brunch on the 95th floor of the Hancock for Mother's Day. In NYC, I've been to the top of the Empire State Building and the Top of the Rock. My husband regularly goes to Dubai for work and has been to the top of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, a few times now. I do okay... but I begin to feel trapped up at the top of buildings like that and can only handle being there for so long.

empire state building

did prudential center in boston the other day, have done top of the rock

I've been in surprisingly few tall buildings I just realized. No famous ones. But I have been to the top of the Seattle space needle and the Eiffel Tower.

I love views from up high. There's a mountain called Mount Helix in San Diego where I liked to go to see the view when I lived there. And the view from airplane windows is one of my favorite things about flying. Whatever the height is that we fly over the Atlantic ocean is the highest I've ever been. Three times: 1998 to Stockholm, 2000 to Paris and Stockholm, and 2002 to Stockholm again.

The highest I've been in the last few years is probably one of the medical buildings I've been in. My daughter Rhiannon spent some time on the 7th floor of Children's National in D.C. this year and my other daughter, Caroline, has a new allergist with an office several floors above ground too, but I can't remember exactly how many.

My husband, who has traveled much more than I have, says the tallest building he has been in is the Sears Tower.

What a fun idea to try to climb as many heights as possible. I'd love to do that!

I don't know which is the tallest but I have been in the Sear's Tower (I did not know it had a name change? @tkradtke ), the Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, and the Space Needle. I'm not real wild about heights but I'm getting a bit better as I age. I remember once when we visited Gettysburg, they had a viewing tower (subsequently demolished) and I could not even walk to the edge of the platform.

I worked on 34th floor of Amex building WFC and had a window desk overlooking the hudson. Too bad I wasn't working there when Sully landed the plane! - And was constantly up on the top floors of the Twin Towers visiting clients, but never went to the observation tower, have done the observation tower at the Empire State building though. I really hate heights but the fencing around the deck and the fact that everything looked so surreal from that high up made it easier to deal with it.

IDS tower in Minneapolis that is 57 stories tall -- way back when. I think it's still the tallest between Chicago and Seattle, but I could be wrong (the article I read never really said).

Empire State Building, Twin Towers and I think the Sears Tower (always be Sears for me too!).

This year we are bringing the boys to the Top of One World Trade (aka OWT/Freedom Tower).

I've been up the CN Tower in Toronto many times but I am terrified of heights (although I think it is more of a fear of falling actually).

Despite the fear of heights, I've been to the Grand Canyon 3 times now and each time I inch my way up to the fencing to get the best view but I dread it.

CN Tower and the Empire State Building are the tallest structures I've been in. I'm not crazy about heights.

I've been to the John Hancock tower, the Empire State Building and the CN Tower. I love tall buildings!
