Ladies, I know how you are all so well organized :clap and up-to-date with things!! :thumbsups

I need your help!!!!:helpy:helpy

As I opened my mailbox after the holidays, I saw an email from Google with some very upsetting news.
I use Google Sync to synchronize my Outlook agenda on the computer with my Google agenda and in that way it comes up on all our smartphones and tablets. Allthough Google wasn't providing this program anymore, we got to keep to use it. However, they now let us know as of august 1st, this service will not work anymore AT ALL!!! :box :nuno

And now I am :hairpol :furious :madd:banghead

I have been looking about a year ago all over the net for a way to sync all my agendas and this was the easiest and best way!!! And it was free :beat :woot

So, please if you have any free solution, could you please tell me? My hubbie doesn't like me to spend a lot of money, since we are saving for work on our house, so any easy or sheep solution would come in handy. Thank you :wubb :heartslub

You could just use Gmail and Google calendar (as well as all of the other google stuffs) and they are web-based so can be opened on any device. Is that what you are talking about?

Google calendar lets you have multiple calendars and you can share them with family members. I'm not sure what you mean by "agenda", though.

Honestly, I just wing it - if I end up missing an appointment, so be it. :giggle

LOL, Julie. You probably sleep very well at night.

And I've heard of Cozi. Looks cool, but I tend to "list" on paper in my real live calendar *shock*.

Also, if you have Apple products, they magically all sync across devices.

I use real paper for my lists too. It's somehow more satisfying to check things off that way.

I know, right. Little box to the left. Big fat X when it's done. Love it! Sometimes I'll add things to my list I've already done just so I can check it off :giggle

Sometimes, I add stuff to my to do list I've already completed, just so I can cross it off!

We are Twinsies! I said the same thing. I feel vindicated. And no judging, Laura, hehe.

Sorry to have hijacked your thread, PLM.

Cozi no longer syncs with Outlook, which I think is the main issue here. I've never met anyone who was using Outlook and had the option of using something else (i.e. their work uses Outlook, so they have to use Outlook) so just switching to Google or iCal is probably not a solution. As I understand it, she's looking for a way to use both Outlook and Google Calendar and have it all sync in one place.

This is one of the main reasons I dropped my outlook. Sorry, I have not found anything that cooperates with Outlook yet, I just switched to the google stuff.

Yes indeed!

I worry I won't find anything either :-(

And my to do lists are also on paper :-)
It's just that when someone asks me for an appointment I can look at my phone.
