Today is of course Veterans Day in the US (and other names in different countries) but it is also National Sundae Day. Do you have a favorite Sundae?

We have a wonderful (and fairly famous) ice cream place in Scottsdale called the Sugar Bowl. When we go there, I always design my own sundae and it takes about 10 minutes to explain. My family rolls their eyes when I order. :lol To summarize, it involves chocolate ice cream, bananas, marshmallow and walnuts. And some other goodies. I suppose I should scrap it!

My favorite sundae is made with vanilla ice cream, choc chunks, peanut butter swirl and fudge topping. Yum.

I'm a Banana Split girl ... 3 mounds of vanilla soft-serve ... strawberry, pineapple, and chocolate toppings with whipped cream and nuts on top. Yum!

Best sundae I've had was when I was in London in 1983. At Wimpy they had a chocolate nut sundae ... divine. It was the first sundae I've ever had (cuz it really wasn't a thing in Sweden - hardly is even these days) - probably why it's the best ever.

I worked at a local ice cream place when I was 16 for a few hours on the weekend. (A friend worked the other day). A retired couple ran it so they put in most of the hours. Anyways, they had both vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream machines. I'm a lover of chocolate so one day I put some in a small bowl and tried some butterscotch topping on it. Been hooked on that ever since.... over 50 years! If a place doesn't have chocolate ice cream, I go for a shake instead because I just can't handle vanilla ice cream.

Ooohhh!!!

It USED to be the Famous #1 Subdae at Ella’s Deli in Madison, Wisconsin: French vanilla ice cream on top of a slice of toasted pound cake, smothered with hot fudge and whipped cream. But I can’t eat dairy and gluten anymore.:cry

NOW it’s the Marina Raspberry Sorbet Sundae at Ghirardelli. Yumyumyum. Having that freshly made chocolate fudge topping at the chocolate shop in San Francisco is incredible. So much so that I scrapped a page about it!

I don't eat Sundaes (I am not an ice cream lover and try to stay away from fat for medical reasons), but my fav memories are when we lived in California 32 years ago. My FIL and MIL used to visit often and we would go to Swensons (an old ice cream chain. My FIL always ordered the banana split because he needed potassium in his diet!

Every sundaee is a good sundaee...L* I am a BIG fan of ice cream.. and all things ice cream related. So load it on! ... the more goooy oooohyyyy toppings the better
