Since it's already (ALREADY :faint2) May, I was curious as to what everyone's plans are for this Summer!? Have you made any yet? Any vacations or STAYcations in the horizon?

The Sutherlins are taking a Cross-Country trip in our RV out WEST! We are heading out the middle of June and will get back sometime late July/early August. The only reservations we have right now are for Yellowstone (you have to make these a year in advance) during the last week in July and early part of August. We are booking it to Colorado (from Florida) and then taking it in a clockwise loop around the states out west: Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, & Nebraska.

That sounds like a super fun summer! Ours will be filled with camping trips close to home and far away, and also hopefully a trip to the zoo and maybe adventureland. We'll see. We are pretty laid back and like to do the cheap stuff around home for the most part :)
 
How fun!!!!

I don't know that we'll be doing anything. I'd love to go to San Antonio. Dusty and I have been wanting to do that since we got together 10 years ago. Maybe next year!
 
So excited for summer! Brandi - your trip sounds absolutely amazing!

In June DH and I are going to Hawaii for about a week... my first time ever! I'm sooo excited. As soon as we get home we're hosting his whole family at our house and doing some fun stuff in the area for four days. July we'll just be hanging out at home, and in August we've got a trip planned to southern Utah for the Shakespearean festival and then a family reunion down there with my side of the family for three days.
 
We're going to St. Louis in a couple of weeks to visit with friends for a long weekend. Then my SIL is coming for a two week visit. Hoping for lots of visits to the amusement park...plus would love to do some field trips to the zoo and other attractions around here. My big hope is that we are able to go to Gen Con in August...that would make my summer!
 
DH & I got a road trip next week to Chicago! Supah-excited here!

Not much in June but in July we've got 2 camping trips setup and 1 in August. The summers just seem to fly by and so darn hot here so I save most of my vacation time for the fall.
 
My plans include sleep, sleep, and more sleep. :giggle We probably will be making a trip to see family at some point. Nothing is set yet, but I really want to go spend some time with my mom and meet my new niece or nephew... SIL is in labor right NOW! :D
 
We are heading to Utah for a few weeks to visit family. We will be driving which takes two days from our house. Oh, and I'll be six months pregnant. Can't get any better right?!
 
Lynette, I'm jealous of your trip to Hawaii! That's definitely on my bucket list!
Hope the rest of you have a nice and relaxing summer! Maybe some of these? :martini and a little bit of this --> :hammock No? It's only about a month away...

Ooh yeah!! I love babies! Congrats on your new niece or nephew! I just became a new aunt on Monday myself to a sweet little baby girl!
 
I hope we can take the kids to Indiana Beach over Fathers' Day weekend. We've never gone on a family vacation before, and this would be a nice first trip since it's only a couple hours from here.
 
im going on holiday 2 weeks today yay,im so excited then in july were going to lego land for Fins birthday
 
Phil and I have picked out FOURTEEN races to do this summer. Not all running. Also, triathlons/adventure races/paddleboard races/duathlon/2 day bike ride/etc.

So pretty much I'm going to be working out. Or in PT.

But I should be pretty fit and thin by the end. :rofl
 
I thought we were all going to Brandi's lake house (tlp), but now I see that she's coming to visit moi in Washington! :D
 
We have a couple small trips planned, but no big summer family vacation this year since DH and I just got back from our 10 year anniversary trip and spent all our play money on that.

We are going on a four day camping trip (amusement park and canoeing too) with a bunch of families from our church in early July. Then we have our Jimmy Buffett concert late June and I think we might do one more camping trip somewhere in there too. We'll take a week off over the 4th of July and just go to the beach and play with the kiddos. I'm kind of looking forward to a summer that isn't all booked up for once! :)

Brandi, your RV trip sounds amazing! The trip to Hawaii sounds wonderful too... gotta get there someday too!

Angie... you're really certifiably crazy aren't you! LOL! :)
