Remember all those summer 2011 lists from last year? We did one for our family but as I sat down last night to start a list for this year, I'm having trouble coming up with a new list. Last year's included a few local events, a small weekend vacation, Sonic Happy Hour, waffles with ice cream for breakfast, water balloon fight, etc.

Anyone got theirs done yet? School is officially out Tuesday so I guess our summer is about to begin.

We're out of school soon too too and so I've been pondering our list as well! I'll post when I've finished it, but so far we have:

Ice Cream for Breakfast
Day of Yes
Water Table Fun
Fry an Egg Experiment
Bake Cookies in Car Experiment
Chalk on the Driveway
Ant Farm
Summer Movies at the Theater
Bookstore
Smoothies at Home
Camp Out in the Living Room
Dance Party
Pajama Days
Zoo Trip
Craft Days

(we have Ridiculous Heat here so I'm trying to brainstorm more indoor activities because unfortunately it really is unbearable outdoors most of the time).

I've been kinda sorta working on mine. There was a thread not too long ago about this if I remember correctly, and I got some good ideas from that!

I love your list Sara!! I may have to steal some of those ideas.

So far mine's not too creative:
Picnik at the nature center
homemade ice cream
run through sprinkler
bandfest parade
camping (lots)
carnival
fireworks
go canoing or paddle boating
build sandcastles (we don't do this often because our lake is nasty, so we mostly stick to the pool).

We totally need to make one of these, but I have yet to start one.

i haven't started mine either - but my kids are in school until the end of june, so i have a little while ...

Here's our summer goal list:
Go for walks 3-4 times a week.
Lot's of visits to the amusement park.
A camping trip or three.
Summer Reading Club at the library.
Ren Faire (we went to one this past weekend...hoping we make it to one closer to home as well)
Field Museum and/or Museum of Science and Industry
Gen Con if we can work it out $$ wise
Lots of board and card games

well lina is only 1,5yr when our summer vacation starts and we only have two weeks off of work. BUT, since I only work three days I thought of some fun things to do, such as:

- blow with a big bucket of bubbles
- chalk the neighbours driveway (LOL)
- put up the tent in the backyard
- visit the zoo
- go to a lake
- put up the pool in the backyard
- plan lots of dates with BFF's and kids
- visit this theatre show on the road; De Parade
- go see daddy fishing
- go for bikerides
and much more :D
