Hi TLP Peeps I'm after some advice!

We have just found out that my teen DD has won a place on the Kizuna Project which is a scholarship trip to Japan (very exciting!!) :yesss and she will be leaving on the 2nd December. Living in Sunny Brisbane she doesn't actually have any clothes suitable for wintering in a village in Northern Japan for two weeks and I am going to have to kit her out pronto to make the deadline.

So what I am after is some advice as to which online clothing store you would recommend that has affordable, decent (although a teen she doesn't need all her bits on display!) clothes with a good track record for quick delivery ....... thanks!

Now I have to go and hyperventilate because my baby girl is leaving the country without me for the first time ever .... breathe Mum ... breathe! This is a great opportunity ... you can do this!

ok, first of all wow... congrats!!!!! yay!!!! Now, here take this brown paper box and breath in it... ok?

hmm... I have no clue in terms of shipping international, but I love Land's End and they always have clearance online. That might be a tad expensive though. How about London's Fog in Amazon? Not sure what size your girl wears, but there are some decently prices coats on sizes up to 16 (girl sizing).

Congratulations to her!! That's so exciting, but I certainly feel your anxiety too!!

I really have no way of knowing which companies ship to Australia and the speed in which they ship. Hopefully someone that lives down there will know more. Here in the states, Amazon and Zappos are two companies that have speedy shipping and good customer service. Again...I'm not sure if they ship there.

Amanda, congratulations to you DD, how exciting!!
I would suggest trying UK stores over US, prices are similar but shipping is usually cheaper. Asos is one that comes to mind and they ship internationally for free.
In the US aeropostale is specifically for teens and the children's place has clothes for kids up to age 14, old navy is another good one.

Next is good - not sure their shipping but they always have fun stuff. they're in the UK.

Thanks for the advice everyone :) ... Bella is happily trolling through some of the web pages you have suggested as we speak and I am sure all I will have to do is hand over my credit card LOL

way to go Bella!! Congratulations!!

Oh I'm sure there is mixed feelings with this exciting adventure Amanda!

Wow congratulations to Bella! How exciting and of course nerve racking for you too Amanda!

oh no i have no idea on online shops as im in a differant country but just wanted to say i know how you feel about her going away with out you i was a bundle of nerves with my son and that was in the same country

How exciting for her! Even after two weeks she'll come home just a tiny bit more independent and confident.

We like LLBean, but they can be pricey and not sure if available to UK/Australia. I was going to suggest LandsEnd also.

How exciting for your daughter!! You must be so proud! I understand your nerves though... my oldest is about to graduate from high school - YIKES!
