" And as far as clothes, I'm too tall. None of the ones I've found have tall selections. Oh well: saves me money!"

My husband's cousin's daughter is close to 6ft. She just started Stitch Fix and reports they sent her pants that were long enough.
It's great that it works for her because it can be very difficult to find clothing that works!
I'm over 6'. :( It's not just the length but the actual fit of a pant that needs to be "tall" for me, like some women need petite so their pants don't hike up to their armpits lol. I've tried on some brands of jeans and I pull them all the way up... and you can still see a few inches of my bum because the rise is too short for me (and I'm not talking about low-rise jeans; I'm talking Mom Jeans lol.) That's not a good look for anyone. ;) I asked my friend and she says StitchFix has a Long but not a Tall option for clothes so it's just not worth it to try. It's my lot in life to be difficult to clothe. It took awhile but I'm okay with that.

I was doing a fat quarters quilting fabric thing but my mail lady is terrible. I don't always get my mail and the quilt place charges me anyway so I stopped. Until we move again and get a reliable mailperson I'm not doing any more. She's REALLY bad.

About two years ago I got tempted by the Disney Movie club because I got 5 movies at the start for just 20 cents each, and there just happened to be about 5 movies that I really wanted. But then it was a bummer when you HAD to buy four more at full price + shipping. It probably wouldn't have bothered me as much except that those first 5 were really ALL the ones I really wanted. But I think if I averaged out all the cost, it was it was probable a good deal. I estimate about $12 per movie, so I guess that is OK.

I think that if there were a lot of Disney movies you wanted (like over 10) it would have been a much better deal because you could purchase "extra" movies at a further discount and also combine shipping.

We got a kid's cooking kit for a long time. I finally stopped it cuz I had this tall stack of kits we hadn't used yet. I have subscribe and save stuff from Amazon that comes every month like my hair dye & conditioner. That's about it.

I would much rather shop on-line than in a store, but I hate to pay shipping if I don't have to and paying to return something is a real thorn in my side. My son-in-law has been trying to convince me to buy our groceries on-line. Our Hy-Vee stores here locally are offering that now. I can see where it might work really well for certain things, but I'd still rather pick my own produce and even meat. I'm pretty picky, besides, my Fitbit likes all of the extra steps I take when I grocery shop the traditional way. That being said, I hate to take the boys grocery shopping, so it might be a good alternative when they are out of school during the summer months!

ok. I was pleasantly surprised by my second Blue Apron meal. Again, the boys had to try some, and then they opted to eat something else. I didn't even get complaints about having a super small helping! :giggle Oh.... and DH and I loved it, there were not a super amount of leftovers for lunch today. That's a downside of the pre-prepared boxes. Not a lot of room for leftovers. Just enough sometimes. Here's a picture:

Years ago I used to get Oriflame _ Swedish make up- monthly together with my mum ( they don't ship to Malta ; hardly anyone does unless you pay a ton of postage) And I got the cross sticher magazine for years.
But I really do hate subscription's , half the time you don't like what they send you, and the other half it works out to expensive for what you are actually getting.
I don't get any of the ones here at the Lilypad either. Tried the mixed media one but , I prefer to buy it only if I like it . The drawback here is that the forum threads are closed to non subscribers, - but I'll live.

I did some research. Haha.
I found this site, which just seems to list all the boxes available. Like a resource page, and they have some coupon codes for first month on some of the boxes. I had no idea there were so many!!!

I can't really say why, but subscriptions like this have never really appealed to me. I have considered trying StitchFix, but really just don't mind going and buying my clothes when I need something. I have no desire for someone to put my meals together or send me beauty supplies. Maybe, if truth be told, my "thriftiness" as Cheryl calls it, trumps my willingness to consider a subscription of any sort. ???

This list is incredible. My head was spinning from the number and possibilities. I was wowed by the $575 a year fee for some guys exotic chocolates. Needlesstosay I won't be getting that one (or any of them actually). I think I'm too cheap to get any of the boxes, but they do look interesting.

I've wanted to do the BarkBox, but our dog is literally allergic to everything, so he can't eat 99.5% of dog treats. If it was just toys (I think I saw one for tough chewers), I'd consider, but the treats is a non-starter.
Part of the reason we are trying it out (besides finding a great coupon!) is the toys. The treats are good to have, and I like that they claim everything is made in the USA. But toys. We went to the store and spent half the price of the box on 1 toy a few weeks ago!

It may not count, but I get my farm fresh produce box every week for 6 months of the year. Got 6 quarts of strawberries today. Yummy!
It totally counts!! I love CSA's, and I can't wait for summer and fresh veggies and fruits to start!

I did too. I watched the mailer though, and would pick out the ones that you got 2 (or 3) movies for $30. $15/ Blu-Ray was not too shabby at alL!

Did you know there are blogs dedicated to this?!?!? Seriously. I found one my subscription additiction or something, and then Google offered me more suggestions similar. It's crazy how much it's exploded!

@RebeccaH I like to try them out for new ideas. Like the Kiwi Crate one gave me a bunch of craft ideas, and forced me to actually do a craft project with my kid. We cancelled it, but it was nice to have new ideas, that created more ideas, without getting lost on Pinterest. And some of them, like the dog one, for me, are an easy way to try out a few different items without having to either run all over town, or think about it. I'm hoping it will give us some new ideas for treats and toys. I totally get your thriftiness though! That's always why I end up cancelling them!

This is why I want to try the sketchy fun ones. I want to TRY the big fancy art supplies before I go buy a crap-ton of things I won't use... I have very little self discipline when I'm IN the store... I've already spent tons on different kinds of markers - and have little to no use for any of them. I've barely played with them, because they're not good for what I had in mind, or whatever. Several of the ones I've read about (I got lost on this site this morning) come with little instruction cards, or ways to use the product... I feel like it's the only way I'll learn. Now I have to decide which one(s) I want to try for a little bit at a time. I hardly imagine any of them are ones I want to continue long term... but maybe!

We have Bullymake Box for our dog (English Bulldog- destroyer of all indestructible toys! ;) ) It comes out to about $29 per box- but honestly the toys they put in there as well as the treats (grain-free for our sensitive girl!) would go way beyond the $29 so it's worth it for us. We did Barkbox for awhile- but she would destroy their toys in under an hour- even after I requested 'heavy chewer' toys.

We also did the Hello Fresh meals for a few months- I have ridiculously picky husband & kids- so it was a struggle finding choices that would appeal to all of us- or at least alterable for them vs. me (aka I like everything!) I just haven't looked at the menu's lately- so our subscription is still on hold.

I have friends that rec ipsy or birchbox- but as much as I love makeup- I really only wear it 1-2 /week so it's not worth it to me at this point! :)

This has been my hesitation with the Barkbox subscription... I can never seem to find many toys that both (a) hold my dogs' interest and (b) stand up to their crazy destructive chewing. Almost anything - Heavy Duty Kong toys, Nylabone, etc - can be shredded in less than 10 minutes. Is the Bullybox other-breed appropriate? Might actually consider this once we get moved into our new house.

YES Rebbeca! They cater mostly to just heavy chewers- not just bulldogs! :) They have wonderful customer service too- You can always ask for the most indestructible (really there is no such thing with our doggies!) ;)

awesome! thanks for the info! I really might consider this once we get moved... no sense right now, as we would have to change addresses and pack everything up anyway.

MPM, M3, and Storyteller are the best kinds of subscriptions "boxes," aren't they? And I don't mind it being more than I use- it takes up almost no space, just an extra hard drive if mine fills up!
yup, this!!!!!
LOve the digital subscriptions!! I was an M3 subscriber from day one, love it still!!! LOving MPM even though I am still not full on pocket pages but I am making more every month, I keep trying, maybe I get organized enough to make a proper PL one day....
Now The Digi Files... I was on it for a couple of years...still have kits I haven't even unzipped..... but gotta say: I got some AMAZING kits from The Pad designers when I wasn't hanging around here yet.... so, some designers male a bit more of an effort....others I just developed a different style and cant find anything to do with their kits so I thought I better put the money on other kits, stopped in 2013.

I have to say: we have considered getting the food making boxes...but after looking at the prices I can do a lot better on my own, but now with Sarita back to work and me unable to chop or do much of arm effort in the kitchen, I may give it another thought....

I got Ipsy for a year or so just to see what was out there in the makeup world. I rarely wear much and thought I might make a bit of an effort! I only found a few things I liked and ended up giving most of the bits to my two teenage granddaughters. They really enjoyed getting the stuff even tho the younger one wasn't allowed to wear makeup yet.

I didn't know Sephora had one and maybe that's just as well! I have about 4 bits of makeup and that's truly enough for me.
