I've been putting off going shopping for some winter woolies (yes, it's the start of winter here and those of you used to being knee deep in snow would laugh at the temperatures i consider cold) but today's the day; and while I still don't exactly dressup to go shopping, it occurred to me that i used to be pretty simple with makeup and styling, moisturiser, lipbalm and a pony tail holder and go.
I have to admit though the electric hairbrush has become a staple in the mornings (that and the detangle brush with no handle that looks like a pet brush) and eyeliner is just normal now. I also sorted some drawers this week and realised my entire drawer of 'nice tops' (as opposed to the tshirts etc i'd wear at home or down the street) is some combination of red, white, black and grey - apparently they are my essential colours! Who knew?! I guess it makes mix and match sense but I must just gravitate to these naturally when shopping for me!

Do you have a personal style and what are your style essentials?

I wish I had a style but right now it is whatever fits and keeps me cool (darn hot flashes is going to be the death of me or the death of hubby for freezing at night).

My go to items though seem to be either blue or black. My casual clothes is almost all shades of blue My work clothes is almost all shades of black.

Jeans, jeans and jeans LOL! I wear jeans 99.99% of the time, occasionally I wear a dress...like yesterday I wore a summer dress to the movies.

Sandals/wedges/fun heels are also worn 99% of the year...in the "fall/winter" I'll wear knee high boots without heels, heeled booties or mid calf boots and or my tennis shoes.

I wear a LOT of tanks in the summer...like an obscene amount of tanks!

I love color, but because I tend to spill something on me I typically stick to dark colors!

School me on Winter Woolies...socks? boots? :headscratch

I'm not super fashionable. I'm a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal. I don't care for shoes and socks (ummm..it's too hot in California for that nonsense). I live in workout gear over the weekends. I'm seriously a plain jane. lol

This is totally me (although not white, it just doesn't suit me as well as being guaranteed to drip something on it within 20 minutes). I feel uncomfortable in other colours. Variations of red - burgundy I love and purple as well but nothing else except occasionally into the exciting world of navy! I tried a green top last year, I just looked ill...

The fall colors look good on me: chocolate brown, golden yellow, pumpkin orange, purple, dark green, olive green, red, etc.

During the summer, my "uniform" is shorts and a t-shirt. During the winter it is jeans or sweats with a t-shirt. I love sweaters, but have to wear layers due to the flashes. I do like to dress up though for church and will wear skirts and dresses.

I have started shopping the old-lady section of Kohl's cause darn-that-stuff is comfy... and basic - I like basic with occasional surprises into wild colors.

our car 's battery died a few weeks ag, we had to get a new one, because we dont user the car as I am less mobile than ever...so, for the past year or so, my style essential are :
pajamas, nighties, recycled leggings and jogging bottoms turned into pajamas, and more pajamas!!!

:giggle:giggle:giggle

MY colors these day7s (not pajamas - regular clothing) are pretty much same as you, Justine!!! I have a HUGE amount of grey that build up without me realizing...

In the summer I wear capris and Ts all the time - mostly blues, beige, grey and green. In the winter I find myself wearing yoga pants most of the time - black and grey and either red or purple on top. I hate wearing socks so as soon as it gets warm enough I wear sketchers with no socks or flip flops.

I'm almost always in short, t-shirts and flip-flops. My basic wardrobe colors are black, khaki and denim. Nothing fancy with me. I hate to dress up.

I hope you get warm!! Sending warm hugs your way!!

My closet is filled with WAAAAY too many blacks and greys. I also love blue, purple and greens, the steel-silver soft colors of them. And I'm usually a jeans and t-shirt type of girl with converse or my nike shoes.

The "weird" thing I guess is you can tell my moods by what I'm wearing. If I'm going to be uncomfortable/anxious or shy, I'll have on a long sleeve, usually hoodies are my comfort clothes but if it's too hot for that, I'll have on a soft light sweater that I can pull the hems down around to the middle of my palms. If it's dead of summer in over 100 degrees, then I have a tank top and shorts, but my hand wrapped in a death grip around my dog tags.

And like you, my hair is usually up in a ponytail or i have my bangs pulled back and "arched" up.

If I have a style it's jeans/shorts and t-shirt/tank top and no make-up. Since high school. I have little interest in clothes -- priority is comfort -- and hate how make-up feels. I grew up in southern CA so that's probably part of why I keep it simple and casual.

Daily style? Winter: black leggings and large t. Can't stand close fitting tops. All colors but pink and light blue or pastels, (ugh!). One favorite sweatshirt.
Spring/Summer: jean shorts, capris sandals ( Carolina gals wear sandals!:highfive) or Keds.
ALWAYS: my rose-gold watch! :heartlub:heartlub
Hair is always the same, until next month when it is long enough to be cut for a new style. :yahoo

I wear mostly black. Sometimes I'll have a pop of color, but I almost always gravitate towards the black items when I'm picking out things from my closet AND when I'm shopping.

I don't like regular t-shirts, but I do wear a lot of knit/t-shirt type fabric shirts, just a little fancier than t-shirts?

I spend a lot of summer vacation (which just started today) in lounge wear or in my granny gowns - or it's been that way for the past few years with my limited mobility. This summer, we'll see what I get up to.

I wear flip-flops or sandals year round, along with knit pants, capris, shorts, etc.

I like color. I look horrible in black as it just drains all the color from me. White makes me feel big as a house. In my avi, I'm wearing a navy blue dress with bright yellow flowers & matching yellow leggings. That is fairly typical of me. I like dresses with leggings cuz I'm not the most ladylike person around. It also means I don't have to be too diligent about leg shaving. I gravitate towards yellow, orange, & red. I love navy. I'm seriously not a fan of pastels.

My style as of late is jeans & a sweatshirt & my mint green converse- if I'm leaving the house. If I'm home for the day it's likely to be yoga pants or leggings/sweatshirt & fuzzy socks! lol I'm all about comfort these days. I rarely wear makeup besides moisturizer/sunscreen & mascara. When I do wear more than that- my kids & hubby know something is up! ;) I just dont seem to care to take the time to apply it anymore. I'm definitely more casual than I used to be but I think that's just because I've grown more confident in myself & care less what people think! ;)

Black like my soul :giggle That's what I always tell people. Seriously, though, my closet is almost all black or brown or grey. I do not look good in bright colors at all. I accessorize with them, but if I ever wear them it's like a tank top or something under a black jacket. I have to dress up most every day for work, but I am totally looking forward to my favorite shorts and tanks for the next 2 1/2 months!

I gravitate towards blacks and greys. I wear mostly jeans and t-shirts...sometimes I'll put on a "nicer" shirt with sandals if I want to look fancy. LOL! I do like to put on a bit of make-up before I go out. And now, with shorter hair, I have to do something with my hair instead of just putting into a bun or ponytail.

Jeans, jeans and jeans LOL! I wear jeans 99.99% of the time,
this is me in winter - i have about 6 pairs of jeans, DH doesn't understand why i need so many, he doesnt get that they aren't just one style and colour anymore!

School me on Winter Woolies...socks? boots? :headscratch
didn't realise that was an Aussie-ism?! Anything warm and wooly, fleecy - jumpers (which you'd call sweaters i think), cardigans, fluffy socks, tracky dacks (tracksuit pants) - i went to go buy some long sleeve tops basically; i have a bit of a love hate relationship with woolen/acrylic/knitted stuff - more to do with the bulk and storage of it and the extra care, different cycle and detergent etc washing! (You can get away with no socks even in winter in California!?)

Lotssss of black pants, too.

I wear a lot of black, but offset it with big, colorful earrings. I love wearing nice sandals...but lately have been sticking to my skecher flip flops...so comfy.
