While burying our neighbor's new cable line, Comcast cut ours in the process. Tried to tell us there was a temporary outage (yeah right!), and now they're scheduled to come out tomorrow morning to fix it. Since I don't have Internet access on my phone, I've been offline (and MIA) since Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed that we're back online tomorrow! Being stuck in the house now that Jeff is working daytime hours with the car AND no Internet is driving me crazy!

Man, that sucks! Don't you just love how it's THEIR mistake, yet they make you wait around to come fix it? Grrrr.

Ugh!!! I hope they come fix it soon! And refund you for the days you missed!

I agree with Robin - ask for a refund on those days, plus a little more for pain and suffering.:giggle

OMG... we just lost our internet yesterday because the modem cord was snapped, and I seriously went into panic mode. I even tried to MacGyver the cord together splicing and electrical taping and such. But it just started smoking once I plugged it back in. Not pretty.

Now I'm on the phone with them, getting everything reactivated! Yay!

Sheesh! That's awful! Hopefully they fix their mistake soon! :)

I love that you used MacGyver as a verb.

The guy swung by this morning and got it all taken care of, so thank goodness for that!

Evidently, the contractor who did this has done this before elsewhere, so the guy that came out from Comcast took a bunch of pictures for his boss and asked us to leave all the wires out so that he could have his boss come by this week to see the cuts (there was more than one). Guess that's awful, but makes me feel better that they'll be kicking the contractor to the curb for his shoddy work.

We had problems with our cable/internet for five years at this house. There is a box in my backyard that services 5 or 6 homes and it would overheat in the summer and everyone's tv/internet would be out. You'd see the Brighthouse man tromping through the yard to fix it. I finally asked why and was told about the overheating. UMM... it's Florida... hotter than Hades in the summer, seems like they need a better plan.

They fixed about a year or so ago.
