How do you make yours? I always think I want to try a new recipe, but then I'm always sad I didn't make it my regular way. The last few years I've made both a "new" one and my old one. I haven't yet found a new one I love, but I am determined to keep trying.

My traditional one is just onions, celery, sage, bread, chicken stock etc. No fruits or nuts or anything. I feel like I need one with fruits and nuts. Why? I DON'T KNOW.

We don't do the "regular" american stuffing recipe, we make a mofongo and use it as stuffing. Here is a recipe.

Oh and I'd leave the liver out - those don't come out of the little bag. LOL

John's an uber-traditional guy when it comes to thanksgiving, so there's no experimentation here. Totally traditional stuffing at our house - bread, onion, celery, apple, butter & broth. We don't stuff the bird with stuffing, so the most "different" I was able to get him to agree to is to stuff it with quartered apples, oranges, lemons, limes and onions.

Ha ha ha! I LOVE thanksgiving, but I just don't like stuffing so I've never learned how to make it.

You'll all be happy to know that I host Thanksgiving and my mother-in-law does the turkey filled with traditional stuffing. I cook all the sides and desserts and everyone is happy! :)

I'd say ours is pretty traditional, but we add in chestnuts - I love them for this season!

I put water chestnuts in mine for a little crunch, but they don't actually taste like anything.

Stuffing freaks me out. All that wet mushy bread.... *gag*

If you find a stuffing recipe where it's almost crunchy afterwards... let me know! :giggle

We make ours with chestnuts and raisins, although we've also put craisins in it...

I love stuffing! It's my favorite Thanksgiving food.
