I’m trying to find strapless bras for my daughters and I can’t find any that they like. Anyone here have any reqs? I’m convinced that none of them really work but that’s just me lol thanks in advance!

Ugh. I haven't needed to wear one in forever thankfully. I hated them. They never felt like they were going to stay up! I had a fancy one for my wedding day that went from the waist up, so I felt like things were secure. Lol. Mostly I'd prefer to have cups sewn into a dress and then skip the strapless bra, but I know that's not always an option.

Good luck with your hunt!

Thanks Karen! I’m with you and don’t think they ever stay up lol

I only ever had one a very long time ago, and I went to a bra shop that professionally selected the correct style and fit for me.

I have one that has been great for years, it was from Cacique (I have a larger bust). For others not in that same boat, I have friends that use Skims and others that use Spanx. These are for wired bras.

I have seen Shapermint, and I'm so curious how they work/fit. I want to try it but don't want to lay out the money ahead if I don't like it. These are wireless, so it's already iffy if they will support/stay up for my chest, lol!

Another option is NOOD or Cakes. I haven't yet tried them... again, pulling the plug is hard if I feel like they might not work.

Have you thought about just buying a roll of duct tape? :giggle :crazy

no seriously, I've never worn a strapless bra and from what I've seen, it's questionable if they even work. I'm not big chested so it would probably just slip right down to my waist in no time at all. :backing

I’m thinking this might be the best route even though I’m afraid it’s the most expensive.

Thank you for all these ideas! I’ve only heard of Cakes. It gives me hope that you have one that works!

Duct tape sounds so painful lol I’ve never worn one either so I don’t understand why my girls need one…

I was shopping at Kohls this weekend and saw some strapless bras there and thought of you. Hopefully you'll find something good that works without breaking the bank!

They are the worst!! When I wore dresses that needed them I needed quite a bit bigger size, so they were so uncomfortable and never held them up great :hehe
Hopefully they have changed and support is better and more comfortable!!

For my daughter's wedding next month I had the seamstress sew something into the dress so I don't have to wear one, but I also bought a Cakes silicon one for strapless that I will add for extra support. Just for insurance LOL.

I have hated every single strapless bra I've ever bought. If they are supportive enough, they are also so tight and miserable that they are horrid and eventually they all slip down a bit once you move around.
