I'm going on my 3rd day of feelin' like total C.R.A.P. The grandkids came over Sunday for a few hours and we played outside and had a wonderful afternoon. I felt great! Then late Sunday evening I started feeling 'augh'! Monday, didn't feel too bad during the day but right after dinner my stomach started cramping...like tightening up every 10-15 minutes. Woke up yesterday with a stomach ache but still managed to go to work. By lunchtime, I felt like I was going to vomit and my stomach was still cramping a bit. Went home last night and had beef broth, crackers, and cranberry juice and still felt like crap. Now it's Wednesday and I feel sick to my stomach and still cramping. Geez, I just want to feel better!

Anyone had the stomach virus/flu? How long does it last? I do not want to go to the doctor and spend money for them to tell me that it has to run its course.

I would say after the 3rd day you should feel better or go see someone about it. Especially if you can't eat and are getting dehydrated.

I hope you feel better soon!!! We all had it here last week... We had the icky feeling all week but the fever and vomiting actually only lasted one day and that was like the end, so a few days of feeling icky in the tummy, one day of fever/vomiting and one more day for recovery... Basically lasting all week... Mark's co-workers had it for two weeks really bad, so I think there are a couple different bugs out there... I hope yours is the shorter one!!! I also agree with everyone else, if you can't keep anything down for a few days I'd see a dr before you become dehydrated... Mark bought tons of Gatorade, it was the only thing we could keep down... Or try coconut water too, both of them are really good for hydration... And try to avoid water, it's actually pretty harsh on the tummy... Found that out this last pregnancy, sigh...

You poor thing! I hope you're on the mend soon! 7 Up works wonders on a sick tummy too.

Awww, Mel, I hope you feel better soon. If your doc is * really* nice, they might call in some zofran for you. Works wonders around here!

Gosh, that bites, Melanie! I hope you're feeling better soon. I too will rub your head like Brandi did (even if it increases my chance of getting it, too)
:heythere

Wanna hear something mildly funny, Melanie? After I rubbed your head, I did get stomach flu.
(Although I think it may have had something to do with my daughter getting it, first.) Hope you're on the mend now. :)
