Hubby and I buy our own presents. After the years, of saying ooh thank you to things (some wicked expensive) that we didn't want, like or need, this works for us! I have been researching steam cleaners for a while. Hubby said PUSH the BUTTON, order it! lol
so I did!?!?
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
I do blame the British for this one too!
I got this one: McCulloch MC1375 Canister Steam System

what sold me was the grout/floor cleaner and getting gunk out of corners...argh!
any one out there steam clean their homes?

whoa fancy. i have a Bissell steam cleaner basic model that does floors and it works ok. yours looks like its does carpets too, maybe? which i would love. you'll have to advise on the grout cleaning capabilities! enjoy your new toy!

i have a steam mop - we have a lot of tiles & grubby feet apparently. i was sold on 'the natural power of steam' a few years back too (and it's red - that shoulda meant it was awesome too, right!?).
I hope your one is better than mine - i find it is quicker than the traditional (no wringing out time and no changing out water buckets as it gets dirtier) but eventually it's become that i mop with the ye olde squeeze mop & bucket with the squirty floor cleaner and *then* steam mop after that to actually have clean floors... if i want the grout clean, there's a scrubbing brush involved... i feel like i'm missing a fairy godmother somehow

I have that basic Bissell that Jenn already mentioned and I do love it for certain things, like touch ups for the salt that gets tracked in during the winter season, but boy oh boy does that one look awesome, enjoy it Anne!!!

My hubs does the steam cleaning, we have two of them, one here at home and one at the trailer. He is really good at steam cleaning as he is much more patient than I am and really spends the time to get stains out. Plus, it's so cute to see him do it, he is so proud of how clean he gets the carpet and keeps calling me over to ooh and awe over each dirty area and he exclaims about how clean the carpet looks LOL. With a dog in the house, we need our carpets cleaned every 3 months or so. Luckily we have laminate floors throughout most of the upstairs rooms so steam cleaning doesn't take that long to do.

I am a bit insane on cleaning. I have a carpet steam cleaner I do the whole house every 3 months, rotating the rooms. I have a lab who in the last year has exploded her hair! lol, but I love the clean feel. This is mainly going to be for my kitchen. The grease grosses me out...in crevices...darn crevices!

You are such an enabler!!! Now I want one. LOL.

We have a basic Shark model steam mop. Nothing fancy, but I like how it works. I'd love something to clean corners and grout.
