I was going to suggest talking to @Tiff too. I just saw her post. I'm sorry to hear that she had a discouraging experience!
 
Considering you are entering into a category that has a paper bias - even though you are in the digital category, I would go for a busier page that is heavy on 1. the story, 2. many photos and 3. heavy shadowing (the kind that would make it look like paper from a distance). No, not fair at all but unless you can get more people entering the digital category it's probably going to stay a 'hands on' kind of category.

eta: While the MD fair has passed, you are allowed 1 entry per category. No mention of digital exceptions. 1 entry per person, per category.

N31 Rubber-stamping, any other item
N32 Scrapbook page – 2 page layouts, 12x12 formats, must Include page protector – NO WHOLE ALBUMS, TWO PAGE LAYOUTS MUST BE CONNECTED
N33 Scrapbook – whole, 12x12 formats, include page protectors
N34 Recycled craft – any item, functional or decorative, crafted from

I won a blue ribbon for my scrapbook page. I entered the one with the mountains and us in the car that several of you suggested. There were only about 6 entries.

I also entered the ATC category and won a red ribbon for it. I took the 4 panels I did in the March AJ muse and redid them as individual ATC. There were only 3 entries, so winning 2nd was great!

Pictures were taken and a page will be coming soon. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and your encouragement!!!

Wish I could have "popped over" to see it - never experienced a state fair and that would have been fun to see your great page on display. Just a little too far to come though :giggle
 
have much scrapbooking here in the UK, I think I saw one fair a few years ago but ended up not going...
I don't think I can give better input than what the girls have said, and choosing from your gallery isn't a simple task, you know I love you!!!!! LOVE the pages Jenn McCabe posted, and you see some other people choose same.... but like Jenn well said: do it because you LOVE IT!!!!!!
and yes to they need to grow with times and have more digital categories!!!!!
