Melanie's thread got me thinking of quotes, but none of them are from movies. Most of them are stand up.

So do you have a favorite stand up comedian?
maybe a link to a little youtube clip from a special?

Yes!! :beat

Birbigs is releasing an indie movie in the next couple weeks that I'm forcing the guys at work to go and see with me next month!

Bo Burnham writes the most amazing comedic songs:

I'll stop! :giggle

I don't watch much stand up anymore but one comes to mind. The comic was discussing the habit of young men to wear their pants hanging too low. It was in the context of a young man dating his daughter. He threatened to staple his pants to his waist if he didn't pull them up.

Another was about how women often comment on their husband's clothing choices. The man takes his time choosing an outfit she would like and is all dressed to go wherever and she asks if that is what he was planning to wear. He says NO, I was just going to the mailbox in this and was coming back in to change!

Steve Martin has no equal in my book. I have a wicked crush on him.

I love Jim Gaffigan, too! And John Pinette. Lisa Lampanelli is just so deliciously inappropriate, I love her.

I enjoy stand up. My all time favorites are Bill Cosby and Steve Martin. I roll old school.

This bit still makes me giggle and I've probably seen it 2,370 times.

In fact all of Bill Cosby, Himself is hilarious.

YES! I love Bill Cosby. When he talks about her holding the stick over her head like a samurai sword, I DIE. ME!!!!! lol

I like Dane Cook but he gets a little vulgar too...

LOVE stand up! DH and I just watched a Jim Gaffigan special on netflix this weekend.

I also have pretty much all of Jerry Seinfeld's stuff memorized, and went to see him last year when he came to town.

Any Mitch Hedberg fans? Look him up on you tube for a good laugh. Some of his stuff is too inappropriate for me, so I won't link up, but most of it is great. His style is different - just lots of one liner jokes & very quirky - but I love him.

"This bedroom is over in this guy's house."
I love him. :lol

We love watching comedians but the ones I like will most likely not be suitable for virgin ears!

We watched Gabriel Iglesias and I think I may have peed myself from laughing so hard.

I'm with the old school crowd - Steve Martin and Bill Cosby. Also some of the old Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock stuff. "You ain't got no ice cream" comes out of my mouth or my husband's every now and then.

I always tell my kids to "rub some 'tussin on it!" :rofl
