I know Spotify isn't available in the US yet, but for those of you in more civilised countries (;)) do any of you use it? It updated to a new version today, and now you can follow people - anyone wanting to share their profile? I'd share mine, but I'm not sure how to..

I have some invites too if anyone wants to try it (I don't think you need one in all countries though), pm me your e-mail if you want one!

I went crazy when I heard about it first, it was last year. But anyway, I don't live in a civilized country. None of those cool sites with songs works here. Nor FOX with Glee episodes and sneak peeks. Damn it! Hate living here.
Ok, I like living here, but when a site says: 'We are not allowed to work in your country/region', I hate.

It's a music streaming service, and it's awesome. You can create playlists, or listen to whole albums. A basic account is free, but there is some adverts about every 15 minutes, or you can have a premium account, which you pay for, but then you can use it on your phone and create off-line playlists so you can listen without paying the data costs - it syncs with your account when you are connected to wi-fi. Here's their website:

https://www.spotify.com/no/about/what/

It is available only for Finland, France, Norway, Spain, Sweden or United Kingdom. You can have a premium account if your card has been issued in one of those countries. Well, I will think again about my project to move to Sweden, so I will can have my Spotiy account. lol

Is it kind of like Pandora?

It's kind of the same thing, except it doesn't pick songs for you, you pick each song you want it to play. Pretty much it works as if you had millions of songs to choose from on your computer. With the latest upgrade you can use songs you already have on your computer in playlists as well (not all music is on Spotify), and you can sync those playlists to be available on your phone. Pretty awesome:)

I think they are making it available in the US sometime this year though, it said in the paper that they are having talks with record companies over there.

I have Spotify on my computer and I think I must have had it installed for... maybe a year and a half or something. Though I have probably only used it about 10 times. I'm not really sure why... I guess I just go blank and can't think of what songs to search for to listen to LOL!
