What's the last thing you bought for yourself "just because"?

I find that I tend to splurge far more on my kids, but I've been working really hard cleaning out closets and purging my home office. So, as a treat this week, I splurged on a new table for my printer, cutter and sewing machine.

Now I'm just waiting for DH to assemble it. :waiting
 
pictures...pictures!!! I would say my last splurge that was just for me was the FitBit - and it wasn't even a huge splurge, but for me - that was fun to get!
 
For me, it was an ice cream maker! I'm on a very strict diet so being able to make my own ice cream using ingredients that I am allowed has been a big treat for me! :)
 
I splurge more on the kids than myself too, but I recently splurged on some new art supplies and a few arty books
 
Lol aren't we all splurging more on our kids ;-)

Let's see .......... my last splurge was new sport shoes as mine were more then 10 years old and falling apart literally! And tonight .... I am going to the VIP Sale of Shanghai Tang, which is a big brand amongst the expats living in Shanghai/Hong Kong / Asia. My friends has a special VIP card and I am piggy backing ;-) hurrah which means an extra 30 % discount.

For those wondering http://www.shanghaitang.com I love their bags, clutches, cufflinks and kids polo shirts. Unfortunately I don't fit in most of their clothes as the shop markets to the Chinese clientele here in SH.

Hmmm...I could tell you the last 10 splurges on the kids before I could tell you one I did for myself lol.

My iPhone got dropped in a glass of hot cocoa this summer so when DH ordered me a new one he surprised me with a new iPad mini in the order too....technically that isn't something I did for myself is it though??...I guess the new stools I bought for my office/studio could be considered a splurge.
 
i bought myself an ultra wide 11-16mm 2.8 lens last month cuz......... i had to have it...:D
 
hmm... some art journal and PL supplies... specifically every color of the gelatos... and new art journal that is yummy and some paint markers... and Freckled Fawn wood veneers and enamel dots...
 
OH... I almost forgot... I bought a new set Hero Arts stamps... the ones that look like watercolor paint strokes and stuff like that... I can't wait to play with them!!!
 
Ever since, my son reached 13yo, I try to splurge on him. The last one was the anime hoodie & accessories. Oh, plus a USD10 credit for one of his online games. Cos one big-ticket item he's eyeing is oos. So I'm replacing it with the game credit.

Last week, I splurged on myself two movies back-to-back : Smurfs 2 & City of Bones.

My most recent BIG splurge is a 11" x 11" photobook at 60% off. Well, it was last night, ie.

The next thing I'm gonna splurge on myself might be a thingy to bring my laptop to my eye level. Cos looking down is making my already-bad-posture worse. But I'm still looking ard for the "ideal" one. And with this, I might have to "splurge" on a full body massage package. Cos I was told by the Chinese Physician that my body is super stiff. So need to relax it o'wise it'll get worse as I age. Haiz ...

Then maybe I'll splurge on an 8x8 album or two. To replace my current ones. Or DIY the albums myself. Still undecided.

Or maybe splurge on a day trip to the museums by taking a day off or two. Cos it is now free entry ... all day every day !!!!

But the biggest splurge in the pipeline is ... is ... opsy! I can't reveal that :p Cos it's still WIP. I was already working on it w/no definite goal until recently.
 
I've bought a few scrapbooking supplies here and there this month, not really a huge splurge..but when you haven't been able to buy for 6 months or so it feels so good!

Of course our last splurge was on DD (lol it always is)...we bought her a pair of cowboy boots on the weekend since she's starting horseback riding lessons again in a couple of weeks.

I'm still hoping for an electronic cutter soon...still not quite where I can justify it...but we're getting closer.
 
I bought myself several (a lot) of Alex and Ani bangle bracelets. They're kind of addicting...you can't have just one! :)
 
I too spend most of the extra money on the littles. The most recent splurge for me was a cameo. It was a long overdue gift to myself. :giggle

Ha. I'd be waiting until I was dead.

I bought myself 2 new Vera backpacks. I figured if I had to go to CAMPUS for classes, amongst all those 20 year olds who make me feel older than dirt, I was at least going with a cute new bag. :giggle
 
I just bought myself Lightroom about a week ago for a birthday present to myself. I'm slowly figuring it out too, so that's a bonus! :) The other splurge for myself was last Friday... I took the day off of work and spent all day Friday and all day Saturday at a little church scrapbook crop (another birthday present to myself). It only cost $10, but the time away from all my other responsibility was the big treat! I scrapped until I started to get bored! LOL!
 
I am currently downloading the LR5 upgrade. :) Not sure if that is a splurge or not, I am a LR junkie and I'm surprised it took me this long to go from LR4 to 5 but we just got back from vacation and I have 900 photos to go through, so I am hoping the new features will help me sync faster.

I don't buy a ton of "me" stuff because I generally get camera gear....and my most recent lens at the beginning of the summer was the 70-200mm f/2.8.....which I think totally qualifies as a splurge. :)
 
I splurged on a new rug for my dining room a week or so ago, but does that really count for me? ;) I'm going to splurge on a new camera bag/purse next month, and that'll be the end of my splurging for a while.
