The "Does Santa wrap gifts" got me thinking.
How many gifts does Santa bring your children? Does Santa have more presents for the kids then you and your spouse?

We usually do 1 rather large gift from Santa or 3 medium priced gifts. They get more gifts from me and dh then Santa.
 
This is actually something I was thinking about the other day - we've always just had a pile of gifts for the girls and then talked about how Santa has brought gifts. It did occur to me that at some point some smarty-pants or other is going to demand to know why Mummy and Daddy didn't buy them a christmas present ...

I think I'll probably split it up this year - or have the stockings to be from Santa - or something :) Be interesting to see how everyone else plays it :)
 
Santa brings one "big" present (usually something electronic), 2-3 medium priced ones (usually books and art supplies) and fills stockings with small toys and candy. Then from us they usually get clothes which get tossed aside pretty quick lol and a few small toys....I like the things they get excited about to be from Santa because it keeps them excited about Christmas and Santa.

Bubba's first Christmas I went waaayyyy overboard...the last couple years Santa and I have cut way back....plus Bubba's birthday is less than a month after Christmas so it just got to be too much.

We also started doing a huge toy purge at the beginning of December...all the usable toys get cleaned and donated.

We do one big present (in terms of price and wow factor - not size) and 2 - 3 smaller ones.

Oh and stocking stuff too, but that's all stuff that is pretty on the cheap size.
 
We do one biggish present and a couple stocking stuffery kinds of gifts from Santa.
 
We've just done a few small to medium gifts in the past. The reason for this is that it was easier for DD to understand that some Christmases were slim and mommy and daddy just didn't have the money for a big Christmas present...not so easy to understand why Santa can't bring a big present if that's what she's used to. This is her first year knowing about Santa but we'll probably still put gifts out for her from Santa since we'll be with all the cousins Christmas morning and they will have Santa gifts. Only the kids get santa gifts under the tree but everybody gets a stocking.
 
I got sick of Santa getting all the glory, so he just brings one gift each, and the rest are from me. LOL
 
Santa gives one big gift and some stocking stuffer type gifts. The rest are from DH and I.
 
Santa brings anything that is a toy. He usually brings one big toy and few mediumish toys. This year her forgot to get the big toys. He also stuffs their stockings with candy, toothbrush, orange, and small toys. Mom and dad give clothes and books. Mrs. Clause brings new pajamas the night before.

DH and I don't get anything from santa unless it is a big family gift. Our whole family has birthdays close to Christmas, so they only get 2 or 3 medium sized presents from mom and dad at Christmas.
 
Santa brings one game - DS, Wii, X Box kinda thing.. then the rest is stocking - underwear, socks, book, dvd, body spray, candy..
 
Santas does the stockings and a couple of gifts per child and there has to be one there for mom & dad too
 
He just brings a few....sometimes things like a bike or some item she has on her list she really wants
 
Santa just has the stocking in our house... so far he's got a Vera Bradley wallet and a gift card to Red Mango to go into our DD stocking... loving the idea of a tooth brush! I am thinking Santa will make nice with the tooth fairy this year! :)
