After reading the thread about Christmas being out in the stores I realized that it will be Oct this week & I have no idea about a costume for my son for this year.

Does anyone have costumes already picked out?

Logan is going to be a zombie football player and Mystaya is going to be a zombie cheerleader.
I'm so glad my daughter chose to be something that wasn't a disney princess lol, she has been every single princess already except for Belle, it's a nice change but a sad reminder that she is growing up.

We got the Chasing Fireflies Halloween catalog in the mail last week. *I die* So now I am just trying to talk myself into shelling out for one of these beauties.

juliette: tinkerbell and a peacock

How cool is that angry bird costume!!

It's so hard here, becuase the costume HAS to fit pants and a sweatshirt under it... becuase it gets COLD here.
Last year, I whipped through the house and found stuff to make two cowboys. This year.... hmmm... I better get to work too.

My oldest wants to be a vampiress because she got some fake vampire teeth at Chucky Cheese's the other night. I've said no but my husband is trying to persuade me. I'm just not really into the scary costumes, nor is she. I'm thinking she will change her mind and then I'll be stuck making TWO costumes. DD3 wants to be a ladybug. She was a ladybug last year and has been wearing it as a dress up costume all year. I'm thinking she'll be strawberry shortcake though because she has naturally curly/fro-y bright red hair....and I already have the costume : ) I haven't decided for baby yet, she was going to be a peacock but then my husband pointed out that all the feathers would fall out because he would carrying her. Back to square one...I'm going to HobLob to look this weekend at patterns.

i have no idea. we have had zero time to go scout out costumes. maybe tomorrow this can be something we do before gymnastics... a trip to target to peruse the costume isles.

laura I want the third costume with the big giant wig for myself! that sucker rocks!

I wanted to go with Thing 1 & Thing 2...with this being M's version:

But S is not into dressing up...well I take that back, he will fight and cry as we put it on..but as soon as he is out and sees the other kids in costume then he is fine. Soooo I am thinking something simple for him this year like a crayon:

And then M...I still don't know...I find a new something cute everyday...these are my top ideas for now:

I need to make my mind up soon so I can get my tulle ordered!

My daughter has her daughters costume picked out, Sophia is going to be a lamb, it is the cutest little outfit (she is only 8 months)

my daughter will be a sheep this year... been working on her costume... figuring on 8-10 bags of cotton balls for her top! :)

i love pinterest.
i've seen so many adorable (and easy) costumes for this year!

my 6 year old is going to be tinkerbell.
my 9 year old will be a lego man.

and i think my two oldest (12 and 15) could care less.

I was so on top of this last year that i had the costumes done by mid-september. I was all proud of myself and patting myself on the back for not only being ready, but making the costumes and accesories and spending lots of time doing so... then my oldest son changed his mind before Halloween arrived and it was all wasted time. Well, not really becuase he played with the stuff I made for a long time, just wore out the idea too fast! :) (he wanted to me an army guy and I made a very elaborate cardboard tank that took me weeks) Then he ended up being Luigi because we found that costume at Goodwill right before Halloween. :)

So... I haven't even started this year, but I plan on seeing what Goodwill has available this weekend and we'll go from there.

I wish I lived somewhere warmer so my kids could wear these super cute costumes, here it's REALLY cold so my kids need to wear a winter coat on top of their costumes :(
