Gonna get things started pretty soon!
Sunday, October 24th, at 9PM EST (6 PM PST, 7 PM MST, 8PM CST)

Basic Speed Scrap Instructions:
* 7 instructions in total. One instruction every 10 minutes, with the final instruction on the close of the hour.
* You will have 1 hour from the last instruction to finish your layout and post to the gallery and this thread to claim your prize.
* If you join late in getting started, don’t worry that you missed the start you can still play... just follow the instructions for your layout and get it uploaded before the deadline.
* Make sure to follow all the Speed Scrap instructions I will be revealing over the hour.
* Post your layout in the Speed Scrap Gallery.
* Post an image of your LO back into this thread and include a link to your layout!!!!
* Leave some LOVE on your fellow Speed Scrappers LOs. That's most of the fun!


We'll be chatting it up in the chatroom and in here, so join us in either.
Instructions will be posted in here and in the chat room as well.


Here is a what you are playing for:

Here we go!

1. Open two papers. Place one paper completely on top of the other (so the bottom paper is completely hidden).

2. Add a photo to your page. It can be any shape or size. Set aside another smaller photo to add later. (you can repeat the same photo).

3. Cut some different sized shapes out of your top background paper to reveal the paper underneath. If you are unable to do this just add some shapes on top and clip those to different papers.

4. Remember that other photo? Tuck it behind one of the shapes you cut into your top background paper. It should be in between your background papers.

5. It's time to embellish! Add as many elements as you wish. Try putting some elements in between the background papers for added interest.

6. Use two different alphas/fonts/wordart to compose your title.

7. Finally, add some meaningful journaling to your page. Journal in a shape if you can. Don't forget to add a date!

And that is it! Don't forget to add some shadows to your page and to share your pages in this thread and in our speed scrap gallery. You have one more hour to complete your page. Thanks for playing!

Here's my page... I don't think my shadows look right to show the shapes like they are "underneath". :(
