Ok...I'm going to confess. I wear them when necessary (i.e. DH's corporate retreat where I have to hang out with the other wives you all have 1 or 2 kids and a nanny and spend their day at the gym...ummm..that is NOT me, I have 4 and get to run on the treadmill if I have anything left in me at the end of the day). I tried one of my dresses on for the black tie thing we have to go to the second night and sigh...I'm going to have to double up I think. The dress fits but it's super tight up top so I'm going to have to spanx down my chest. I've done it once before and it's insanely uncomfortable. Has anyone ever worn 2 bras before (strapless)? This may sound insanely weird but I'm not sure what to do because I really don't have time to buy a new dress :whistle

I feel your pain. I haven't ever doubled up on a bra before but I have worn a tight sports bra to minimize under a few things before. I don't know if that would work since you need strapless. Did you try the strapless with the spanx on top yet? I haven't worn Spanx for a while...I love the look but find them insanely uncomfortable.

You poor girl. How about pushing your cleavage up and out of the dress? That ought to distract people from the fact your dress is a little snug. LOL I have worn 2 bras for running before but not strapless ones and not to dress up.

Can you borrow a dress from a friend? I had to google Spanx but they do not look comfortable - especially in the summer.

Um... you could give some to me! :) I have never, nor will I ever need to strap my ladies down. Teeny tiny here. But, if you got it, flaunt it girl! :) LOL Tiki!

you know, this will sound insanely uncomfortable (for good reason), but packaging tape on the girls up top works wonderfully. just sayin. they stay perky and put-in-place. good stuff. plus you can tape over the "perky" parks to keep them from poking their cute little heads out. *LOL* (one day one of the 2 of you may really just kick me out of here :giggle)

How does that feel removing said packing tape? Yikes! LOL!

omg Rebecca!!!

Kelly...isn't there some story from last year about spanx? I seem to remember some crazy story!

I'd find the time to buy a new dress. I'd rather be comfortable!

Duct tape also works on the girls. Insanely uncomfortable, but if the only way, then hey...a girl's gotta do, what a girl's gotta do. KWIM?

As for Spanx, try the "Higher Power" ones. They go all the way up and have super holding power! I had to use them along with the duct tape when Brady was 6 weeks old to get into a formal. Between the two I lost a size and fit, miserably, into my gown.

Good luck!

I have used the tape before too....I didn't have good luck getting it off though...that part was REALLY painful!

dust yourself with cornstarch before you put the tape on. just a light dusting... it still has to be able to grip. but it comes off a bit easier. just a tip. ;)
