Well, I am wrapping the FINAL christmasgifts up, I'm all alone in the house and I put on some music. First some christmas music, but now some 'sing along songs'.

This one 'The miracle of love' by The Eurythmics brings me back to my sweet 16. I was a week on summerholidays with my best friend at the sea. And had a crush on a boy... At night, I was playing this song and singing along silently, dreaming of that unreachable mysterious guy...
Sigh... Where are the times???
Here is the song to discover. :beat

Is there any song you heard recently that made you rethink and smile about some memories you cherish? :heartslub
Please share them with a link to it, so we can hear it and tell us your story!!
I am excited to discover them!!! :woot

For me is any Bob Marley sing, it takes me to when I started dating my hubby.

I have several that immediately take me back in time (some smells do the same thing).

Beth by Kiss takes me to the beach in 8th grade
Sweet Child 'O Mine by Guns N Roses takes me back to summers at the lake
More Than a Feeling by Boston takes me back to summers at the lake (this was a popular one on our jukebox)

and there are plenty of others... :)

Bother by stone sour - me
Today - Jefferson starship take me back to meeting hubby

to continue, when back on my puter he messing with, hi from vista

New Kids on the Block's "Hangin' Tough" album. Every song always makes me feel like I'm 12 years old again. It was such an innocent stress free time for me. What a wonderful summer of boys, music, friends, & fun.

***Ok, it's so funny. As I was writing this, Rod Stewart's "Have I told you lately?" came on the tv. That was our first dance as husband & wife at our wedding. Lol.***

I remember seeing these movies as a child... Loved it!!! Fun to re-see and hear it! Thanks for the links!

Unforgettable by Nat King Cole/Natalie King Cole - hubby played this on our first date and it was the song we walked in on for our wedding...:)

I just heard the song Born to be alive - brought me back to my childhood...

Was my father's favorite song and I can still see him dancing on it!

I listen to my "purchased" playlist in iTunes 99% of the time and they are in order by date of purchase. Its weird that I equate what songs I was listening to to what was happening at the time. I remember that Blown Away (Carrie Underwood) and Take a Little Ride (Jason Aldean) were what I was listening to when I went into labor with my youngest.

Jess .....awwwwwwwwww I remember Menudo too LOL

Songs from the best of Cat Stevens reminds me of when my hubby (then new boyfriend) left town for over a week to follow the Grateful Dead in 1990. I pined for him hardcore!!!!!

Sweet Child of Mine reminds me of just after I graduated high school & my parents let me move into my grandma's downstairs. I felt so grown up & independent & driving around town with that song blasting.

One song that does it for me is an oldie by Skeeter Davis, "The End of the World". My girlfriend and I (in 11th grade) used to sit in her basement in the dark and play that over and over as we bemoaned the fact that we didn't have boyfriends. Oh, so much angst when you are young....

P.S. I did have a boyfriend my whole senior year.

I love music and I love the memories it creates!!

Long Run by Eagles brings back great memories of when my husband and I were dating.

You're The Inspiration by Chicago was the song my song picked out for "our" dance at his wedding.

the circus march, that was the first thing we croon togheter at our first date. we saw a man dressed like a clown and started to croon this march. without talking about. :)

'somewhere over the rainbow' from Israel Kamakawiwo'ole that was our wedding march.

zumba anthem, I love it and I am absolutley happy when I hear it. so thats my ringbell, my colleague hates it, he says everytime when my phone rangs that 'hey you you got a call from Brazil' :)

for my teenager years everything from Billy Idol and Guns and Roses, and Die Toten Hosen.

form my collage years Rammstein.

bonus:

my sons fav: everything is awesome from the lego movie (I go crazy by now from this)

my daughters fav: Lencsilány (detto)

When I was teaching I would stay late every night grading papers and getting the walls decorated and room ready for the next day. This was before I was married and had kids. I would listen to Annie Lenox over and over. Seeing her at the Grammy's a few nights ago brought back memories of working late at the school. My kids thought it was crazy that I listened to her. I think she totally rocked it!

(Maybe this story will earn me a new nickname? every time I see the smacking & licking, I die!) LOL!
