Song versions/covers

I have one that I absolutely ADORE. The original version of Hallelujah was done by Leonard Cohen back in the mid-80's. But my very, very favorite version of it is by Rufus Wainwright. It's actually the cover he did for Shrek. Minor key...and ahhhh...his voice is just *shiver* perfect.

I love this song - makes me think of the West Wing and Mark Harmon. My favorite version is from Jeff Buckley

some great tunes here :)

If we are talking amazing covers ..... I LOVE this cover Disturbed did of Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence ! .... Chills people!!
I had never heard him, I heard of him.... I need to get used to this but I may love it.....

May God curse me with leprosy if there is ever anything I love more than Justin Timberlake but I do love this cover of 'Mirrors' by Andrew Ripp as much as I do the original:

Speaking of Glee, I think this is the best cover they ever did on the show. The original is so fast that you really can't understand the words like you can in this version:

Generally speaking, I love most of Boyce Avenue's covers.
LOL one of my nieces is president of a Timberlake fan club!!!! love this version!!!!!
and in general, every Glee cover I think is awesome!!!!
we stopped watching in the last two years I think, but I still go to the YouTube playlists to grab songs!!!

I absolutely adore Sarah McLaughlan's version of Blackbird:
oh love LOOOOVE her with passion!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this song - makes me think of the West Wing and Mark Harmon. My favorite version is from Jeff Buckley

I remember choosing Jeff Buckley's version over the English Alexandra Burke at the time she won the X Factor...
I also love this one:

lets see if it works , the embedding LOL

I hate Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne.

I love, love, love Casey Abrams' version of it.

I am a bit different when it comes to music. I like music from the 20's, 30's and 40's. I was thrilled when I discovered Post Modern Jukebox (PMJ) because they take today's music and remake it into music from other eras.

Funny story: My son and I both love this song. We play it all the time and belt it out. One time we were so loud that we scared the dog away. So funny to see my little Chihuahua run away in horror!
