Once upon a time I listen to Peppermint (One Little Bird) talk about New 52 in which the goal was to do something new every week.
I am not that adventurous most days! But I am doing something new today - going to the Lion Habitat.
So, how about you? Do you seek out new things to do? Anything new to you this month?

Oooh, cool! Lions! You'll have to share some photos!

I have to admit that I'm not the adventurous type. I will say that last year in November I saw my first double waterfall. LOL

That's so exciting that you're going to see lions! Cheryl, I'll bet that double waterfall was awesome! About anywhere I go with a 7 year old is an adventure. Haha

It was beautiful. It would have been even more gorgeous but there had been very little rain for a long time, so the water wasn't rushing as much as I'd hoped, but it was awe-inspiring anyway!

And about the 7 y/o - yes, anything done with a child that age is an adventure. They are so full of curiosity!

I would need some (maybe even 52) suggestions of new things.
I have seen the Seven sisters waterfall - amazing. Still have Niagara and Victoria falls on my bucket list.
Living in Africa, lions have been seen, photographed and walked with.
Canary Islands are going to be new to me, later in December.

My husband is obsessed with seeking out new things. I like trying new things, but not too often and I like to take things slowly.

I'm about to try a new sewing technique.

I love going to new places but don't get around a lot nowadays. Cost is a hindrance.

I like to try new foods at restaurants sometimes.

I'm really comfortable with routines though too, like certain tasks I do the same regularly and the scrambled egg & veggie burrito I eat for breakfast nearly every day. Although, even that varies because I fill it with different combinations each day.

It really depends on the subject whether I crave novelty or repetition.

I want to go new places, but there's not many people I know locally to go exploring places with.

My new thing for the month is trying to keep up with my memory journal and not lose steam as the month grows crazier and crazier. I need to accept that not every page is going to be pretty and have a photo. Haha.

Lion habitat, how cool.
I’m going to a new Nordic museum and a new event at the Seattle Art Museum this month. We do have a trip to Greece in the planning stages to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this summer.

The past few years we have scheduled lots of field trips with the grandkids all summer long (making memories). It is getter no harder to schedule these as they are getting older and their summers are now filled with the normal kid activities, e.g. camp, sports, etc.

The Lion Habitat sounds super cool! Doing something new every week sounds awesome. Our days seem to get really monotonous, but with work and homework and all the other things that need to get done in the evening, it's hard to fit things in, especially now that it's going to be dark shortly after we get home. Maybe I just need to make a more conscious effort. I have been taking a sign language class once a week for the last 6 weeks and that's been fun.

Since I'm not a Project Life person in 2012 I started a 52 Weeks of New project. The new includes going new places, seeing new sights, trying new things or food, etc. I got exactly one page done for the first week of the year and never got back to it. Although, I have to admit that 2012 was a very bad year for my family. Every year since, I've thought about doing the project but, so far, by the time I get around to it we're already into May or June so I think ... maybe next year!

I did...I mean... ATTEMPTED a New 52 project in 2013. You can read about it on my terribly neglected, barely got off the ground, blog here.

I'm a serial life learner which pushes me to learn/do new things. This year my try/learn-something-new-every-day has been my day job. I had a total career change in February. I LOVE it but I have been on 'new' overload for 9 months now and that will likely continue for another year at least!

Peppermint is totally my gurl crush so I actually did New52 a few years ago. It's harder than you think to think of and do one new thing every single week!

Not new for me (although I've only been once & it was 20+ years ago so maybe kinda-sorta?!) but my mom & I are taking the kids to the world's largest Christmas store this month. They've never been & they are excited to see it. Hopefully we will all survive the 3 hour road trip to get there! :giggle

I'm not really one to like to try new things, but my hubby does. He's always trying new restaurants and food. He likes to change things up and learn about new things.

That sounds like a really cool project! I easily fall into a routine (rut?) and do the same things every day. I think that's a fun way to push yourself out of your comfort zone.

My new thing for 2019 may be that I don't do Project Life :faint2

Canary Islands are going to be new to me, later in December.
That sounds awesome! I've been to Niagara a few times, but the other falls are on my wishlist.

I'm about to try a new sewing technique.
Cool! How'd it go?

I like to try new foods at restaurants sometimes.
That's something new! Try anything that became a new favorite?

My new thing for the month is trying to keep up with my memory journal and not lose steam as the month grows crazier and crazier.
You can do it!

We do have a trip to Greece in the planning stages to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this summer.
My parents have accompanied two of my siblings there. They love going to Greece. My mom loves the salads especially.

I have been taking a sign language class once a week for the last 6 weeks and that's been fun.
Fun! How's it going?

I started a 52 Weeks of New project
Really?!?! That's awesome! And you could do 52 weeks starting in May or June or your birthday. It doesn't have to be January.

I had a total career change in February.
Awesome! Well, I hope. You sound pretty positive about it.

but my mom & I are taking the kids to the world's largest Christmas store this month
I'm not sure if that sounds fun or crazy! :giggle Is it full of toys? decorations?

My new thing for 2019 may be that I don't do Project Life

i almost feel like a new person! i finally got a cortisone injection in my foot and it has made soooo much difference; i think today is the first day i haven't hobbled around in about 6months and i went barefoot on the tiles even (on the yoga mat was all i could manage for short bouts before) so i'm thanking the gods of medical miracles today!

I am drawn to new things... and I always have a running bucketlist going. But, my problem? When I do something new, or go someplace new, or eat someplace new... I want to go back over and over! Catch 22, right? I had a couple firsts over the summer which included seeing the Gulf of Mexico for the first time, and smoking a cigar (lol), and the big one... my husband and I took our Jeep to Moah, UT and maneuvered harrowing off roading trails! Scary and exhilarating at the same time!
