It specifically says NOT to thaw at room temperature but I have to get it in the bring bag and it is frozen soild..even after 3 days in the refrigerator....anyone else ever have this happen????

mine never thaws in the fridge. I usually put it in a sink full of cold water.

Happened to me last year. I needed to put it in a sink of cold water too. It was delicious! :) Good luck!

OMG im so glad im not the only one LOL mine is half frozen:| so sink full of cold water that baby will go in LOL

That's why we buy fresh! :giggle I'd soak it in the sink with cold water as was suggested already.

mine is frozen too. :( Hey Kelly, we can compare crappy turkey disasters. ;) hahahahahaha

I'd suggest thawing in the sink but since it's going to be in cold brine water, it'll just thaw in there.

well if it makes you feel any better, i haven't even gotten my turkey yet. i am praying they still have some not frozen ones left!!

Happened to me yesterday. Stuck it in a sink full of cold water and its good to go!

Oh no! I'm sure it will thaw though in the brine bag. What is in the brine, and what does it do to the turkey's taste?

Ours almost always has ice in the cavity when pull it out of the fridge. I've left it at room temp for a couple of hours and have never made anyone sick! Yet ... :giggle

Did you see "The New Girl" this week? You could put it in the dryer like they did.:giggle

It's moments like this that I'm glad I go to other people's houses for Thanksgiving! :wooot

Oh my, that is so sad about your friend's baby. :(

I'm with Amy Jaz, I'm glad I haven't had to cook a turkey yet!

We used the sink with cold water... I remember one year at Christmas, my mom left the turkey in the sink overnight and we woke up to the cat licking the plastic around the turkey.. GROSS!!!!! lol!
