So my turkey is still frozen.....

It specifically says NOT to thaw at room temperature but I have to get it in the bring bag and it is frozen soild..even after 3 days in the refrigerator....anyone else ever have this happen????

That's why we buy fresh! I'd soak it in the sink with cold water as was suggested already.

I'd suggest thawing in the sink but since it's going to be in cold brine water, it'll just thaw in there.

Ours almost always has ice in the cavity when pull it out of the fridge. I've left it at room temp for a couple of hours and have never made anyone sick! Yet ...

Thanks guys! It is in cold water as we speak. I am just uber paranoid right now, a friends 13 month old baby just died from salmonella (blueberries apparently) so, so sad and I just wanted to be super careful about thawing.

We used the sink with cold water... I remember one year at Christmas, my mom left the turkey in the sink overnight and we woke up to the cat licking the plastic around the turkey.. GROSS!!!!! lol!
