After some changes in policy at the program by the way I now only get to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
:whoopdedoo

Anyway. Overall the day went pretty good. Mason spent the majority of the time in the baby room (I work at a Parents Day Out program in case you didn't know) which my mom is the primary teacher for so it's not like he was with a stranger. She actually got him to sleep for an hour and a half in a pack n play, which amazed me since the only thing I can get him to sleep in is his too small bassinet. Poor boy has to curl his legs up to fit in it. He would not take a bottle for her, even though he's done it before. :lol I can't mind too much. I just took him and nursed him while the class I was with took naps.

The fun part though, I went in 30 minutes early to nurse him so he'd be good and full through the morning. I was very proud of myself for this bit of good planning. Well, the minute I went to unlatch him and make him burp... he projectile spit up all over the both of us. Like a ton. About 25 minutes worth of nursing breast milk all over my shirt, pants, and his clothes. :groan While he had a change of clothes in his bag I did not. lol So I had to borrow someone's sweater while I washed my shirt. However, that still left me with breast milk all over my pants. Let me just say that by the time I got home I was a little smelly.

LOl sounds like my days at the daycare/preschool I used to work at. I was a preschool teacher for 3-year-olds, but at the time Braden was a baby and in the baby room. They'd bring him in for me to nurse whenever he got hungry. I got puked on plenty, but I don't think I ever got drenched at work,lol. I soon learned an extra tee shirt in my bag was crucial. My babies were all huge pukers.

That's so fun that you get to go back to work! I miss working with the little kids (and chatting with the adults) all the time :)

God Bless your heart! I couldn't work in a daycare/preschool. I have barely enough patience for my grandchildren, who by the way, are heathens! :D {jk}

LOL, well I work at daycare and we all have extra clothes laying, just in case...if one gets sick or their diaper leaked in any way?! I've been through several minor "accidents". Oh and that program sounds awsome BTW!

Congratulations for surviving your first day back and I'm glad he's right on site. I know what you mean about precious breast milk! It's one of the biggest headaches when it gets wasted. The director of Morgan's daycare once spilled an entire 4oz bottle of my milk all over herself and then complained to me that she was sticky and wet. I wanted to shake her and say "do you have any idea how long that took me to produce??"
