Lol - I'm listening to local radio to find out. Have these people never heard of twitter?! DD reckons she feels to ill for school .... I'm guessing she's well enough to build snowmen though :)

Or at least posting somewhere. So annoying!

Are you up to your ears in the stuff? I used to live in the West Midlands so I'm hearing a lot about it on facebook (I sound like a social networking addict, don't I?!)

We've

We have about 4 inches here, both the children's schools are closed today. I had a text from one this morning and a phone call from the other - haven't had to leave the house so far today!! Here's our masterpiece from yesterday:

hey thats a cool snowman, rhys is going out to build his now while i watch him from here in my pj's lol, wish our school was that advanced

I hope they clear the roads for you soon! We celebrated christmas in England (Hampshire), and although we arrived on the day after the worst of the snow, I have never been that scared to drive before. I asked the rental company if we could have some snow tires for the car, and she just looked at me like I was stupid, don't think she knew what they were. I would never consider driving without snow tires at home in those conditions, and over here they actually clear the roads! Even though it was the day after the snowfall, we still saw lots of abandoned cars along the roads.

At least the kids can have some fun building snowmen!

:lol Yes, we are totally unprepared to deal with any snow here! It doesn't happen that often that we get much though, this is the first time my kids have seen more than about half an inch of snow (they are 6 and 3). The sun's out here now so I think we need to make the most of it while it lasts!

thats fun... kate your snowman is really cool... we have to make one today too

It's too cold to make anything at the moment, it was -28 here this morning, so the snow is just loose powder at the moment. With that temperature I'd rather be under a blanket on the sofa anyway;)

LooL Eryn you`re a lucky girl... i wish i could sit now under the aircon :D

OH MY GOSH Kristine... i thought we have a lot of snow ROFL... where do you come from?

Cool snow art everyone. My snowman from before christmas was rubbish!

We've ended up with about 2 inches of annoying sludgy snow that is going to freeze soon. I had to pick dd up from school at 1 pm so the teachers could get away before it got dark.

Karen - my parents are to the west of Wolverhampton and are absolutely buried in the stuff apparently. Mum reckons about a foot, so passing that through the translator, about 6 inches.

I'm not liking the look of the forecast for the weekend, easterlies are never fun here - particularly when I've just seen a pic of the weather in Germany!
